Football is finally back the NFL preseason kicked off this past weekend. We are less than a month away from the beginning ot the regular season and I'll be previewing the season division-by-division. The first division that'll be previewing is NFC East which is arguably the worst division in football.
2015 NFC East Division Standings
1 Washington Redskins 9-7
2 Philadelphia Eagles 7-9
3 New York Giants 6-10
4 Dallas Cowboys 4-12
Washington Redskins
The defending NFC East champs are looking to go back-to-back with Kirk Cousins leading the way. He was the best quarterback in the division last season and his play should improve going into his second season as the starter. Cousins is surrounded by the best group of position players in the division that includes wide receivers DeSean Jackson, Pierre Garcon, Jamison Crowder, and 1st round pick Josh Doctson. Not only are the skins loaded at wideout they have a great group of tight ends in Jordan Reed and Vernon Davis.
Washington's only question on offense is at running back. Alfred Morris departed in free agency and Matt Jones will step in as the starter after a solid rookie season. On the other side of the ball they've improved their terrible secondary by adding Josh Norman in free agency.
Projected Record 1st place 10-6
Dallas Cowboys
Every year Cowboys fans believe they are going to win the Super Bowl and this year is no different. Injuries ruined their season last year Tony Romo missed 12 games and Dez Bryant missed seven. If that tandem stays healthy this year paired with the fourth pick in the draft Ezekiel Elliott the Cowboys should be able to outscore anybody. But the problem is their defense three of their starters are suspended for at least four games to start the season.
Projected Record 2nd Place 7-9
New York Giants
The New York Football Giants have been mediocre for the past five seasons and enter this year with new Head Coach Ben McAdoo. Eli Manning will be under center for his 13th season looking to get his team back in the playoffs. Victor Cruz is finally back healthy and ready to line up alongside Odell Beckham Jr.
Projected Record 3rd place 6-10
Philadelphia Eagles
Philly will be the worst team in the division and may very well be the worst team in the NFL. Sam Bradford is back again as the starting quarterback even though Chase Daniel was signed and Carson Wentz was drafted. The organization has said that want to give the number two pick Wentz a redshirt year similar to the way the Green Bay Packers developed Aaron Rodgers.
Projected record 4th place 4-12
