Oh here's to Enid High School, great is her fame. High school lasts a whole four years of your life, but there is nothing like going to high school at Enid High School. Or maybe I'm wrong because I only went to Enid. But there are some things about going to Enid that you can relate to that no other high schooler or alum can pick up on.

1. You know who the Marshallese

They bring a whole different level of diversity to our school. What other high school has an Islander Club?

2. You love to hang out in the UC lounge

It may have only been around for a few year, but it became the place to chill at real quick.

3. You know who this guy is

And if you don't know who this is, then you are too young. Only the most legendary principal to ever live.

4. You have your own nickname for the janitors

5. You don't go to the football games to watch the game

6. Pep rallies can get really crazy

My favorite pep rallies always involved the organizations battling it out. I remember when the academic team beat all the spring sports.

7. There is no dress code

Spaghetti straps? Ok. Pajamas? No problem. Booty shorts? No big deal.

8. You have tried to sneak off campus for lunch at least once

You were either successful or you were arrested.

9. You have been in at least one Enid High School Lip Dub

10. You hear about fights often

You hear about them, but you can never vouch if they actually went down.

11. The bathrooms are always full of surprises - good and bad, mostly bad

Ew.

12. You know what a Plainsman is, but you're not sure what a Pacer is

Legend has it that a "Pacer" is a horse.. Now you know, or I'm just wrong.

13. Plainsmen Power!

14. You love to say the creed

"I believe in Enid High School, her traditions and ideals; I believe in honesty in every-day tasks and in faithfulness in duty; I believe in the joy that comes from worthwhile fun, generous comradeship, and loyal service to my school; I believe in modesty in victory and an unconquerable spirit in defeat; I believe in keeping faith with my neighbor, my father and mother, my country, and my God."

17. The cafeteria food is either a hit or miss, typically a big miss

Especially the pizza.

18. You know what May Fete is, but when asked about it, it does seem kind of strange

This is an annual ceremony to celebrate youth and fertility. Seems pretty strange, but is a big deal to seniors at Enid High.

19. You know which teachers have been around for a while

And you love them because they are the realest gangsters of the school.

20. You can't wait to get out of this place

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
