Missouri State's freshman enrollment is continuing to grow each Fall semester. Here are 15 things they don't always tell the new bears.
1. You will meet so many people from small towns in Missouri that you have never even heard of.
Not everyone is from St. Louis or Kansas City.
2. Maroon will begin to make up 60% of your wardrobe without you even noticing it.
Also "bear up" will become part of your everyday sayings.
3. You will never go anywhere without your Bearpass.
Like you literally need it to do everything on campus so it easily becomes your best friend.
4. Tapingo is a life saver.
For example during finals week when you need sustenance but don't want to lose your spot in the library, or when the line at Chik Fil A is unBEARable. I highly recommend downloading it, especially if you live on campus.
5. Boogie is always the move, but so is Vintage.
Really any place downtown is fun, but if you're looking for fun on Thursday night (and under 21) - Boogie or Vintage. (plus the Bearline will take you there)
6. Speaking of the Bearline, the drivers will crack you up no and are seriously some of the nicest people on the planet.
7. Our campus is easy to walk around versus other campuses.
Besides the wind, everything is about a 5-10 minute journey and it's all flat.
8. Its impossible to not get involved.
With over 350 organizations there is bound to be something that interests you.
9. Our Fraternity and Sorority Life is unique in the best way possible.
It is so united and the chapters do some really amazing things for the Springfield community and for the school as a whole.
10. Clif Smart will become a celebrity and you may become a fan girl if you ever see him or follow him on Twitter.
The man makes some awesome gifs.
11. Springfield has more to offer than the World's Largest Fork and large gusts of wind.
There are some really cool restaurants and places to visit which will become some of your favorites.
12. You need to watch out for bikers and skateboarders on the bike path.
Seriously, just walk on the correct sidewalk to ensure your safety.
13. Parking isn't THAT bad.
Although people like to complain, you will always find a spot. There is more than enough spaces for everyone, it's just not always right where you want it to be.
14. The fountain will always brighten your day.
Walking by and getting a little sprinkle will bring a smile to your face and is equivalent to a big, warm bear hug.
