Having experienced anxiety attacks and moments of pure panic, I love knowing that someone is always there for me, and it is only a quick prayer away. So, I have put together a bunch of Bible verses to help those who struggle to have moments of peace of mind.

1 Peter 5:7

Cast all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you

Psalm 34:4-5

I sought the Lord, and He answered me; He delivered me from all my fears.

John 16:33

I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world

Romans 5:1


Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Psalm 55:22

Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; He will never let the righteous be shaken.

Philippians 4:6-7

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Matthew 11:28-30


Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give your rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.

Isaiah 46:

A person's steps are directed by the Lord. How then can anyone understand their own way?

Isaiah 12:2

Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The Lord, the Lord himself, is my strength and my defense; He has become my salvation.

Joshua 1:9

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.

Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.

These verses have always brought me peace in times where my mind is worried and stressed out. Leaning on God's plans and will is what has gotten me through so many anxious moments. To be trusting and allow Him to take full control, that is what will get anyone through any difficult day full of anxious thoughts.
