From the countless Thursday nights we spent at the bar to the hours we sat in front of my T.V., watching some horrible movie, we've had each other's back. From our rough start to our beautiful friendship, I've never come across anyone like you. You're smart, funny, and gorgeous, and I am lucky enough to have someone like you to get into shenanigans with. Beyond the amazing friendship you've provided me with, I've been lucky enough to have your support and love. There are countless things I am grateful for, but these are the ones that mean the most to me.
1. Thank You For Asking Those Guys At The Bar To Buy Us Drinks.
Sure, I act like a hardass 99% of the time; however, social anxiety gets the better of me in these situations. You've never been afraid to jump into conversation with some unsuspecting guy at the bar and plead for another Long Island. Soon enough, we'd be back on the dance floor another plastic cup in our hands, singing along to a song we barely knew. In fact, the confidence you radiate (even though it shines through more after a few drinks) has been something I have always admired.
2. Thank You For Dragging Me Out Of The Dorm.
While most of the time, I was perfectly content, sitting on my butt, binge watching another season of Parks and Rec, You, however, wouldn't have it. Many times showing up at my door, seemingly unannounced, ready to go get food or walk to the Union. While I groaned and moaned about being interrupted during an episode I'd already seen, I was more than happy to go anywhere with you.
3. Thank You For Laughing At All The Memes I Send You.
I would be about a million dollars that I tag you in two or more memes a day, and I send you at least one. However, no one quite gets the humor behind them like I do. Sure, most of them have to do with how dumb boys are, but are you really best friends if you can't hate the male population together?
4. Thank You For Reminding Me He's Not Worth It.
No matter how hard I try, I, on occasion, forget what a big dick my ex was. I'll text you about missing him, and you'll, for the millionth time, remind me that I only miss what I thought he was. You'll send me text after text explaining why I am too good and too pretty for someone who doesn't deserve me.
5. Thank You For Liking All My Tweets.
Without you, I don't think anyone would like the hilarious one-liners I come up with. While most of them are passive aggressive subtweets, you never shame me for them. You just laugh along, understanding that sometimes, tweeting is better than saying it out loud.
6. Thank You For Always Answering My Texts.
We talk everyday, and it's usually the same damn thing. However, you never leave me hanging. You're always there to remind me that everything is okay or laugh at my incredible inappropriateness. You send back countless texts that I'm sure you sent the day before, but you never stop telling me that I'm overreacting. That it will all be okay.
7. Thank You For Our Drives.
Belting along to the radio to early 2000s pop songs will hold a special place in my heart forever. The way you scream the lyrics to another emo Fall Out Boy song while I vocalize the instruments will always be what solidifies our relationship. Your ability to let go while we are jamming out always makes me smile.
8. Thank You For Standing Up For Me.
You didn't have to say anything when things went to Hell. You didn't curse them out. You didn't tell them to screw off. You just stood beside me, no questions asked. You made sure I knew I wasn't alone. I'd never be alone. You made sure I didn't have to eat by myself. You texted me just to check up on me. You helped me fix the brokenness it left inside me.
9. Thank You For Creeping.
I swear to God you could be in the F.B.I. Anytime I come to you with a name or a problem, you have it figured out barely after I've finished typing. I know I can always count on you to get to the bottom of things and find the truth for me, even if I don't want to hear it.
10. Thank You For Being Brutally, Completely Honest.
No, I don't always like what you have to say. I don't always want to hear it. However, you don't let that stop you from telling it to me how it is. You don't beat around the bush, you say it bluntly and honestly to my face, and I don't think there's anything better than that.
11. Thank You For Being You.
You're the most beautiful, honest and incredible person I have ever met, and that fact that you just be yourself, makes it so much better. You're the best, and I will always love you.
