"So I guess when they had us that diploma, we're really done here."
High school is and is not everything people make it out to be. Senior year is the best and worst time of your life. You will experience some of the greatest memories of your entire life in high school, but you will also experience the worst as well. I honestly miss it. I never thought I would say that - just as everyone else. Here's what I wished people had actually told me instead of giving me the background of the teachers.
- Your teachers are really trying to help you.
- Your "besties" aren't really your besties.
- Twitter isn't blocked on school wifi.
- You don't have to look like a model everyday. Put on some sweats, forget the makeup, and put your hair up.
- Relax. You're going to be okay.
- Thank that teacher that has been your saving grace since Freshman year.
- Take that ACT Prep class.
- Worship on a daily, not just Sundays and Wednesdays.
- Have everyone sign your senior year annual.
- Don't hate on the principal when things go wrong.
- Walk away from drama no matter who is pulled into it. Run away actually.
- Treat that substitute with respect.
- He isn't the one.
- Prom is not the best night of your life, But you still need to go.
- Take more pictures.
- Paint up for every game.
- Its okay to cry yourself to sleep.
- Always be there for the people around you, even if they aren't there for you.
- Your best friend after high school will be that person you spoke a few words to your last semester.
- The old grumpy male teachers are the funniest.
- Pray everyday.
- Keep an extra set of headphones on you. Always.
- Join a club for fun.
- Take art. Even if you can't draw, you'll learn the basics.
- Just because you see them everyday doesn't mean they will be there forever.
- Your guy bestfriend will always stand by you if you talk to him about it.
- Let them display your work.
- Help whoever needs you in that class.
- Road trips are a necessity.
- Fridays may be fun, but don't overdo it.
- Don't speed. You'll get there when you get there, even if you're a few minutes late.
- Dance in the rain.
- Be in the Homecoming Parade.
- Study in the library. It's the best place to focus in the quiet.
- Tweet song lyrics.
- Keep a jacket with you.
- Don't be afraid to ask for help.
- Hold your best friend's hand walking down the hallway.
- Try out for that team.
- Soak in a bath every now and then.
- You don't have to have a valentine.
- Pray some more.
- Go to Wednesday night youth group. You can never have too much support.
- Volunteer your time when you can.
- Hug more people. It'll make you both feel better.

- Thank the friends that stuck with you all four years.
- Walk through the whole school on your last, last day there.
- Love your hometown.

- Create your own distinct handwriting.
- Write a cute letter instead of sending that heartfelt text every now and then.
