Barbara Bush served as First Lady from 1989 to 1993. She was married to George H. W. Bush, aka Bush 41, for 73 years. She married the first man she ever kissed and went on to be a loving wife, a great mother, and an influential first lady. She passed away recently at the age of 92.

In honor of her memory here are a few of her memorable quotes:

1. “At the end of your life, you will never regret not having passed one more test, not winning one more verdict, not closing one more deal. You will regret time not spent with a husband, a friend, a child, or a parent.”

2. “Never lose sight of the fact that the most important yardstick of your success will be how you treat other people - your family, friends, and coworkers, and even strangers you meet along the way.”

3. “You may think the president is all powerful, he is not. He needs a lot of guidance from the Lord.”

4. When faced with backlash from her 1990 commencement speech at Wellesley College she responded with, “No big deal. Even I was 20 once.”

5. “People who worry about their hair all the time, frankly, are boring.”

6. “Never ask anyone over 70 how they feel. They’ll tell you.”

7. “Clinton lied. A man might forget where he parks or where he lives, but he never forgets oral sex, no matter how bad it is.”

8. “When all the dust is settled and all the crowds are gone, the things that matter are faith, family, and friends.. We have been inordinately blessed, and we know that.”

9. “George Bush has given me the world. He is the best - thoughtful and loving. I am still old and still in love with the man I married 72 years ago.”

10. “I know there is a great God, and I’m not worried.”
