If your sibling situation is anything like mine, you have that adorable little brother that you hate seeing grow up. You love him to pieces and treasure every moment you spend together. He drives you nutty, but he makes you laugh so hard you cry. Who wouldn’t want an infinite best friend that even shares your DNA? Here are just a few examples of why having that little guy in your life is the best thing that ever happened to you.

1. He truly was a gift, even if you weren’t asking for one.

Life was kind of lonely before he was around. Being the only child was fun and all, but getting someone to play with everyday sounded really nice.

2. He can always cheer you up.

When you're dealing with that difficult breakup or you just failed your math quiz, a call to the little brother never fails to cheer you up. He always has a funny joke on hand or a silly noise to make that can turn your whole day around.

3. He never fails to bring up those silly moments from the past to make you giggle.

“Remember when…?” If it was when you fell in front of everyone at graduation, he makes sure you knew it was funny, not embarrassing. Even if it was just that crazy handshake you made up last summer, there is always good times to be shared with him. Speaking of crazy handshakes…

4. You have some sort of a secret code, language, or handshake.

The classic rock paper and scissors jig was never good enough. Add a little dash of put your right hand in, put your right hand out, put your right hand in and shake it all about, do a little dance to turn yourself around and that’s what its all about!

5. He made you a good leader.

You always had to set a good example in front of him. Whether he admits it or not, he looks up to you, and you had to be on your game 24/7.

6. He was the best travel partner.

Whether it was a long car ride to visit family, or a plane ride to Disney World, he made for a great travel companion. Coming up with fun games to pass the time, or making crazy blanket forts in the car, the fun never ended.

7. He showed you how to play video games.

Long nights of playing NCAA Football on the PS3 was a favorite pastime. He was always patient when it took you forever to figure out which button to press when you needed to throw, and which button actually turned off the console.

8. He never stops looking out for you.

Even if he was not all that intimidating, he made sure that the guy you were dating knew he would do some damage if he ever hurt you. He always played the role of the “big brother” when you needed it most. But same goes for him; no girl will ever be worthy of your baby brother.

9. He never missed any of your sporting events.

From dance recitals to golf tournaments, he was always your number one fan. He was cheering the loudest in the stands when you were a cheerleader. He was the most ecstatic when you made your first soccer goal. He was your first groupie, and you couldn’t ask for a better one.

10. He’s the best friend that will never leave your side.

But more than anything, he’s the person you love the most and you know will never turn his back on you. You may not say it enough, but he’s your best friend in the whole world.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
