The Olympics are a platform for national pride and sports entertainment. It inspires everyone to be a little more athletic, wondering which sport to take up to win a medal come 2020. However, it isn't all rainbows, unicorns, and medals in Rio. Here are the most questionable moments of the 2016 Olympics.
1. When you find out you can get a gold medal from jumping on a trampoline. BRB, off to my local SkyZone, it’s training time.
2. When Phelps got a silver medal. C’mon man you’re better than this. Everything synchronized swimming. Where is Sharpay from High School Musical? Someone tell her the Olympic Committee called and wants her “Fabulous” number ready to go come Tokyo 2020
3. When you learned that handball was an Olympic sport. I have so many questions about this one. Who plays handball these days?!?!
4. When and where does one even discover their handball talents? Is there some kind of underground handball league I’m out of the loop on?
5. When the lifeguard walked on screen for swimming trials. Is it really necessary for Olympic swimmers to have a life guard? This guy lacks purpose!
6. When the swimmers sat on the lane lines. EVERYONE knows you can’t do that. And to make matters worse, the lifeguard didn’t. even. flinch. What are they even there for.
7. When the alphabetical order of the opening ceremony was botched. Pretty sure Yemen doesn’t belong right after Hungary. Nice try though, Olympic Committee.
8. When Aly Raisman’s mom could NOT find her chill. Please, Mrs. Raisman, you’re scaring the kids.
9. When the track events were NEVER ENDING. There has to be one of these I’m good at, right?
10. When the white water rafting course had competitors spinning circles through the rapids. Buckle up kids, this is no Wii Sports.
