10 Tips To Help You Dominate Your Fantasy Football League

As a defending fantasy football league champion (humblebrag), I know a thing or two about winning in this arena, and I'd like to impart some of my knowledge to you. So here are 11 tips to help you win your fantasy league this year.

1. Running backs are your best friend

ALWAYS use your first pick on a running back. Quarterbacks are sexy, but running backs are your most dependable scorers, and are the most valuable position in the league.

2. Wait on drafting quarterbacks

Quarterbacks are the deepest position in fantasy, so waiting on drafting yours won't cost you very many points

3. Don't focus too much on depth

Make sure that you have three or four really good players, and focus on your bench later with trades and the waiver wire.

4. Never have more than one kicker at a time

If you don't understand why this is on the list, there isn't anything I can do for you. It's already too late.

5. Pay attention to bye weeks

Having three great players is useless if they are all off at the same time. That's a guaranteed loss right there. Don't put yourself in that position.

6. Don't trade right away

Impulsive trades immediately after the draft are tempting, but take stock of what you have before making any rash decisions you can't take back.

7. Stay up to date on NFL news

Starting a player you didn't know was injured is the bane of every fantasy owner. Don't let it happen to you.

8. Check your team every day

The teams and available players are always changing, so make sure you're on top of things before another person steals a player off waivers.

9. Pay attention to match-ups

Having a really good quarterback isn't enough if he's playing the best defense in the league. Make the opposing team and their stats a factor in who you start in your lineup.

10. Play in leagues with people you know

Not only will they be less likely to fleece you in trades, it's also more fun when you beat them.

So there you have it. Play to win, but most importantly, have fun.... but seriously, play to win. Take no prisoners! Good luck.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
