10 Fears of Leaving High School Sports

High School Sports were honestly the best moments of my life. Everything went by so quick and the thought of it being over so soon. I feared that I wouldn't be able to find better teammate with a great winning mentality, coaches that would change my life forever because they knew what potential I had and how much I could change the world. High school sports didn't just bring a sense of peace to me, but it allowed me to see the friendships I would create and the memories I would soon cherish after four long years of smiles, hard work, and dedication. Being a three sport athlete allowed me to see different personalities and how hard it was to change settings based on the environments and the people I was around. Here are 15 fears about leaving High school sports.

1. Friendships

Friendships build chemistry and the fact that I have to make new friends puts a little bit of fear and my friendships is something that i don't want to leave behind.

2. Leaving your favorite coach

I found myself in a sport I never thought I would play. The coach that pushed me the hardest helped me realize I want to take her with me to college, but I can't because she has more people to inspire.

3. Winning Mentality

Leaving my teammates will be hard because we knew what we wanted to do that season and how we were going to do it.

4. Team Work

Team work will always be around, but it won't be like high school track and throwing javelin with my teammates.

5. Lining up

Leaving behind lining up for the national anthem with your closest friends. Knowing the person behind you has your back during that game. Knowing that when you line up, It's not just for you, it's for your coaches and school.

6. Remaking photos

Remaking photos with teammates that you took a year ago.Just to see if you guys remember and it gives you a chance to laugh about it.

7. Senior night

Senior night is a night about you and your teammates that you've played with for four years. After this photo that's the last photo you take as a senior in your uniforms.

8. Individual Performance

Being proud of yourself will always be there, but when you break your first record that's been held for years or scoring your thousand points and knowing you made a mark and kids to come will ask about you.

9. Team Pictures

Pictures are meant to hold moments that mean a lot. The team photo will bring back memories and hopefully have you tear up a little bit.

10. Awards

All your hard work has come to an end and all your awards will be right there for you to look at. Remember that high school sports were a success and no one can change or take that from you.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
