10 Drugstore Beauty Products That Are Worth The Hype

Walking into the drugstore tends to be a bit overwhelming. Whether you are searching for a mascara or just in the mood to browse, how are you supposed to begin to know which makeup products are actually worth the hype, AND your time?!

Below I have compiled a list of 10 drugstore makeup products that are ACTUALLY worth the hype. Along with your money, and time. Enjoy!

1. NYC Sunny Bronzer- Such an amazing matte bronzer. Extremely similar to Benefit Hoolah, not only in quality but texture and color. Also, this bronzer is no more than 3 dollars so you really can't beat it!

2. Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer- The perfect concealer to highlight and cover those dark under eyes. Whether you get it in the lightest shade, or the pink shade made specifically for highlighting those under eyes, it's incredibly smooth, lightweight and full coverage.

3. Real Techniques Makeup Brushes- The best makeup brushes that I have found thus far at the drugstore. You know you are getting amazing quality when they are made by twin makeup artists that are the best at what they do. They are extremely reasonable in price and have a wide variety of products!

4. Maybelline Color Tattoo Cream Eyeshadows- An all over color for the eyelid if you are in a hurry, or a primer for your shadows, these cream eyeshadows are perfect! Such a broad range of colors and incredibly pigmented.

5. Elf eyelash curler- An eyelash curler for 1 dollar, CAN'T beat it!

6. Jordana Extreme Lash Mascara- An amazing mascara that I have found myself purchasing over and over again. Super black, and super inexpensive.

6. Nyx Stick Foundation- I found that if you purchase this stick foundation in a dark color, it is PERFECT for contouring. So far, I prefer a cream contour as opposed to a powder because I have more control over the application.

7. Maybelline Fit Concealer- Another great concealer for under the eyes, spot concealing and more.

8. Batiste Dry Shampoo for Brown Hair- My FAVORITE dry shampoo not to mention it is meant for dark roots that way you are not left with white powdery looking hair.

9. Simple Cleansing Water- An absolute must for me and my skin everyday. The simple cleansing water is a perfect in between when you want to refresh your face without diving into your whole skincare routine.

10. Simple Cleansing Wipes- The amount of face wipes at the drugstore seems to grow every time I go in there. However, these remain to be my absolute favorite. They are gentle, scent free and perfect for my sensitive skin.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
