It was recently announced that the World Series Champion Chicago Cubs are getting their very own movie based on David Ross' upcoming memoir. Although the film is in its preliminary pitch stage, we all can't help but fantasize who would be most appropriate to step up to the plate and act as one of our beloved champions. So, here is a list of all of the optimal actors for the job.
1. Zachary Levi as Kris Bryant
Give him some blue contacts and he'd be the perfect pick for the young MVP and baseball stud.
2. Channing Tatum as Anthony Rizzo
Besides the striking resemblance, Tatum would also be able to capture Rizzo's goofy side and devotion to the Bryzzo bromance.
3. Bradley Whitford as Joe Maddon
There's no doubt that Whitford is perfect for the manager's cool, calm and collected role. It's hard to even tell the two apart.
4. Shad Moss as Addison Russell
Shad Moss, aka Bow Wow, could take his acting career to the World Series of Hollywood (the Oscars) by playing the shortstop's position.
5. Terry O'Quinn as David Ross
Although a little older, Terry O'Quinn's friendly attitude and smililng face is perfect for the role of the catcher (as long as he channels his inner John Locke rather than the black smoke monster).
6. Manny Montana as Javier Baez
Manny Montana has already shown that he's capable of a baseball player's role in Undrafted, so it only seems fitting that he take on Javy's position. Plus, they even have the same arched eyebrows and sly smirk.
7. Brian Geraghty as Ben Zobrist
This Chicago P.D. actor would easily be able to hit it out of the park by acting as the Cubs' second baseman.
8. Mahershala Ali as Dexter Fowler
How could Ali NOT play Fowler? Look at them!
9. Harold Perrineau as Jason Heyward
Perrineau and Heyward's strike-out pearly whites are a perfect match.
10. Ben Affleck as Jake Arrieta
Both Affleck and Arrieta channel their inner burly lumberjack man when they flaunt their beards, so this role definitely belongs to Affleck, Not to mention that their last names are weirdly similar.
11. Adrien Brody as Kyle Hendricks
Brody and Hendricks look strikingly alike, giving support to Brody's inclusion in the Cubs' Hollywood bullpen.
12. Dave Franco as Albert Almora Jr.
With their arched eyebrows and smirky smiles, Franco easily earns the title of Almora doppelganger.
13. George Clooney as Theo Epstein
Stern looks and savvy styles really bring these two close together. Both men are a real catch in their respective fields, so it's only right that Clooney takes on Epstein's character.
14. Russell Brand as John Lackey
I just get major Russell Brand vibes from John Lackey. Their bold attitudes and disregard of others' opinions of them match up perfectly.
15. Bill Murray as Bill Murray
Because he's basically an honorary member at this point.
