Why Fitness Is Life

Exercise is very important and needed in everyone's life. Find out why below!

Why Fitness Is Life

Over the years, fitness has become a greater part of people’s lives. We have always been told that exercise is good for you and it is true, but it is more than just about building muscle and losing weight. Fitness has a lot of benefits that can help improve your life for the better. Here are the top five reasons why fitness is life.

1. No more sickness

I don’t know about you, but I hate getting sick. It is not quite clear how exercising keeps your body from getting sick, but it does. There is research that shows that those who hit the gym more than three times a week have a stronger immune system and therefore are capable of fighting off bacteria and viruses.

2. More energy

Did I just read “more energy”? Yes, you read right. Working out may feel like it drains you, but if you do it on the regular, you will have more energy throughout the day. I work out in the afternoon; that is when I am most tired. After a long day at school, the last thing someone wants to do is work out, but it must be done. After my workouts, I am full of energy and ready to spend the night doing homework.

3. More sleep? Yes!

Are you one of those that complain about insomnia or not getting enough sleep at night? Exercising will help solve your problem. According to the National Sleep Foundation, exercising on a regular basis will help you get that nice sleep that you yearn for. You should work out in the morning or afternoon; if you do it too close to bedtime, then it will have the opposite effect.

4. Stress no more

My gym is my therapy center; I go in for daily consultation. It is the time when it is just you and your mind focusing on yourself. We all live stressful lives, believe it or not. Sometimes we just need that little time away from everything to just focus on ourselves. It helps get your mind off of things. You will definitely feel less stressed after a good workout.

5. Confidence is great

Feeling confident with your body and the way you look is truly amazing. Working out will definitely boost your self-esteem, especially if you are seeing results. It will make you happy and can turn a bad day into a good one. Not only will you feel confident on the way you look, but also in your daily life and in things you do. Exercising helps your brain get more energy and oxygen, and studies show that it can enhance your memory and will help you learn better. Get ready to pass those finals working out soon!

Not only is working out great for looking and feeling good, but it also has other benefits that you don’t see in a mirror.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
