There is so much in this world that can make us happy. It can be a specific place, a special someone, and especially a specific thing or activity. The list is endless when it comes to finding something that makes each and every one of us happy. And once we find that happiness, that so called passion we live for, we become so content. It makes us feel as though that nothing else in the world matters. It can make us feel better about ourselves; it brings an essential bliss into our lives and you never want it to leave. Ever.
Once you find your passion, once you find something you’re passionate about, once you find something that leaves you forever with a smile on your face and happiness in your heart, don’t let it go. People may not understand it, why you love what you do that makes you so happy and content, but it doesn’t matter what others think. Just promise yourself to never let it go. No matter what it may be. You just have so much respect for it. It has taught you so much and you have learned things from it that others won’t ever “get”. People may knock you down about your love for whatever it is and say, "I don’t understand why you like it so much, it’s so… (insert something rude and disheartening)." Well, guess what? You don’t have to explain yourself. You have the right to happiness and that specific thing is YOUR happiness. It’s your passion. It’s your eternal bliss. So whatever the “haters” may say about your passion, just know that they haven’t found theirs and that once they do find theirs, they too will understand why you are the way you are with yours.
Someone once said, “Being passionate about something is not always easy. But that’s what elevates it from being merely a hobby.” And this quote is truer than true to the full extent. Your passion takes time, patience, effort, and so much more. It takes extreme dedication. And we all become “geeks” in this mere discovery of our favorite passion. It just defines our own uniqueness from the rest of the world. It changes us each for the better. And once you find your own passion, your love for something that makes you the happiest person in the world, please don’t ever let it go. Because in a world with so much hate, being able to find just the slightest happiness is something you don’t ever want to let go.
