When You Give A Girl A Dog...
Alexa DeClue

When you give a girl a dog, you are giving her more than just an animal. You are giving her:

1. A best friend

Having a dog means having someone there 24/7 whenever she needs them. Dogs always find a way to make her laugh, just like a human would. And her dog will put up with literally anything.

2. Someone to share all her secrets with.

Sometimes saying something out loud is the only way it seems true. And this means she will tell her dog absolutely everything because they will listen.

3. Someone who doesn't care if you smother them with hugs

I mean, who doesn't need a good hug? She will love on her dog maybe more than her significant other because her dog means the world to her.

4. Someone to explore the outdoors with

Her friends may not be available to go off the map with. So the only logical answer is for her to grab the leash and some water and head out the door with her dog.

5. Someone that doesn't care if she just needs to cry it out

Guys can be stupid, people can be stupid and because of this, she might not be able to hold it all in. The great thing about her dog is, it doesn't care or think any less of her if she just breaks down crying.

6. Loyalty

No matter what happens in life, her dog will know will always know who their mom is. Her dog is devoted to her.

7. A reason that she will never be alone

Think of any holiday or day that she wouldn't want to be alone on. Her dog will always be there to turn that frown upside down.

8. Someone to miss when she goes off to college

Every time she leaves to go back to college, she feels like she is leaving a piece of her heart behind. Not that her dog would ever forget her, what if they did? There are so many thoughts that run through her mind and she tries not to think about her dog while she is at school. Because thinking leads to crying because she misses her dog so much.

9. Responsibility

Even at a young age, her dog was able to teach about the responsibility of taking care of a living being. She learned how to be a fur baby parent. As she grew older she had to worry about the dog being cared for, even when she was going to leave for the weekend or even a day.

10. Home

No matter how far she strays, being home means being with her dog. At the end of the day, she doesn't really care about what a bad dog they had been hours before. Because this dog means the world to her and she will love them with all of her heart.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
