Haikyuu!! might not sound like it, but it's a show for everyone. Yes, it is about volleyball, however, fans can learn as they watch. There is amazing character development in the series, and you can fall in love with many of the characters. It's about friendship, teamwork, and perseverance. Spoilers are going to be throughout, so don't read unless you're all caught up! These are some main points any Haikyuu!! fan would love to see in the next season:
Karasuno to be recognized as a powerhouse school again
They've been training with powerful schools in the Tokyo region and recently beat Aoba Johsai. Plus, this may be the chance for the team to finally have people cheering in the stands, aside from Yachi and some of the Neighborhood Association members.
Yamaguchi becoming even more confident
He got scared in the match against Wakutani and avoided the use of his float serve. Afterwards, he felt regret, especially after Coach Ukai almost lost it. However, he decided he wouldn't give up again, as his strength is within the float serve. Yamaguchi used it as a pinch server in the match against Aoba Johsai, showing his commitment to the team and racking up five points in a row.
Bokuto
Bokuto was such a great character addition in the second season. He looks tough and scary, but can meltdown over something very simple. His "hey, hey, hey" catchphrase needs much more time in the next season.
A new power attack from Kageyama and Hinata
Their first type of quick confused all of their opponents, but once they started figuring out their style, Kageyama and Hinata worked on a new quick set. This was essential in getting Karasuno to the top in the end of season two.
Ennoshita to become the next captain
During the match against Wakutani, Daichi had to leave due to a possible concussion, leaving no team captain. In a previous discussion, the other second year team members decided that Ennoshita would be the best candidate. With the help of his team, Ennoshita pulled Karasuno through a match without their backbone, Daichi.
A win against Shiratorizawa
We all want to see Karasuno make it to Nationals, and their next hurdle is to beat Shiratorizawa. The season ends off on the day of their match against the powerhouse school, who has been undefeated, even by Aoba Johsai. Instead of it being, "you should have come to Shiratorizawa," it should be, "you should have come to Karasuno."
A memorable goodbye to the third years
Karasuno has all sorts of members to make up the up and coming team that has been created. Daichi, Sugawara, Asahi, and the manager, Kiyoko, are possibly at the risk of seeing their last game. All of them are memorable characters, and they need to go out with a bang.
