I have always loved to watch TV. Even when I was in elementary school, I had my favorite shows that came on after my bedtime. Yes, I stayed up to watch them. Anyway, through the years and up to current times I have had some favorite TV shows. Maybe one of your favorites is on this list. These are my current favorite shows on TV at the moment:

1. "Dr. Dee: Alaska Vet"

I think being a vet is one of the best jobs in the world. I may or may not be partial to these type of shows though because that is precisely what I am going to school for. The fact that this lady is based in Alaska is awesome! She is definitely a humorous, witty lady who isn't afraid to jump in to whatever situation necessary. She even got her pilots license so she could fly to her more remote patients.

2. "Dr. Jeff: Rocky Mountain Vet"

Are you noticing a trend yet? This man resides in and has his veterinary practice in Colorado. He's hilarious and he really cares about each animal that comes through the doors.

3. "The Vet Life"

You might think I am crazy at this point. I mean, who can have three shows based on different veterinary practices as their favorites? I do. This show is about a trio of veterinarians that went to vet school together now have their own practice in Houston, Texas. It catalogs their daily struggles inside and outside of their work lives.

4. "My Cat From Hell"

If you can't tell already, I love two things: animals and the channel, Animal Planet. This show depicts how Jackson Galaxy goes into different individual and family homes and attempts to help the cats change their bad behavior (ex. biting, scratching, and using the bathroom on the floor). He is a really funny person that genuinely cares about those he attempts to help.

5. "Pit Bulls and Parolees"

This show is also on Animal Planet. It showcases an animal rescue in New Orleans, Louisiana called Villalobos Rescue Center run by an amazing lady named Tia Maria Torres. The unique thing about her rescue is the people she chooses to hire. She hires parolees who need a second chance to turn their life around after being in prison. Each day they provide for hundreds of pit bulls and other breeds of dogs and cats. They also rescue as many dogs as they can from horrible situations.

6. "Tanked"

This show depicts the life and work of two fish tank enthusiasts named Brett Ramer and Wayde King. They build intricate, complicated fish tanks for individuals who ask. They've even done tanks for several celebrities and well-known athletes. I love watching this show because I've always wanted a fish tank.

7. "Treehouse Masters"

In this show, Pete Nelson and his crew go around and build treehouses (thank you, Captain Obvious). I love watching him get so excited about picking the trees to build in, building the treehouses, and showing off the finished products to clients. Plus, it is a great way to fantasize about having my own treehouse.

8. "Chopped"

This is a cooking competition that showcases four chefs work and puts them up to tough challenges. There are three rounds: appetizer, entree, and dessert. Each round has a basket of mystery ingredients that have to be used. At the end of each round, one person is eliminated until only one is left at the end of the dessert round. Watching this show makes me realize how much better my cooking could be.

9. "Say Yes to the Dress" (NY and ATL)

Both installments of Say Yes to the Dress are awesome. I would love to go to Kleinfeld in New York or Bridals by Lori in Atlanta to get my wedding dress when that part of life comes. I love being able to see each bride-to-be pick out the dress she loves.

10. "Outdaughtered"

This show details the crazy, adventurous, and exhausting life of the Busby family. They have one older daughter, Blayke, who is 6 years old. They also have quintuplets. Five more daughters! Sometimes I feel bad for the father being surrounded by so many girls. They make life work with quintuplets. It's all about balance.

These are my top favorite shows on TV right now. I have more favorites than those that are listed here but talking about all of them will make this article too long! If you don't already, definitely start watching some of these shows. I promise that you won't regret it!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
