This list has some of my favorite TV shows of all time. I feel that everyone should see at least one episode of each of these shows in their lifetimes. These shows have characters that I feel are somewhat a part of my circle of friends. These shows allow me to escape from my reality and become a part of theirs (even if it is only for 30 minutes).
1. "The Andy Griffith Show"
This show is number one on the list, simply because it is my favorite "classic" show of all time. Mayberry seems like such a fun town with great people who are full of life lessons. The relationship between Opie and Andy shows you how to be a good parent, and they teach you valuable life lessons as a child and an adult.
2. "I Love Lucy"
The name is in the title. You have to love Lucy. She is always getting herself into whacky situations and wanting to get out of them without her husband Ricky finding out... although he usually does. She is simply awesome!
3. "The Golden Girls"
Anyone that knows me knows I absolutely love The Golden Girls. They are iconic, classy, and definitely sassy. Not to mention, they are the perfect friends!
4. "The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air"
Who doesn't love Carlton's dance moves?! They are such a great family, and always stick together no matter what! I grew up watching this show every night, and no matter how many times I see the extremely funny or extremely sad scenes, I react as if I had never seen it. To me, that is what makes this show one of the best of all time.
5. "Boy Meets World"
"FEENAY! FEE HEE HEE NAY!" Can't you just hear it? When I watched this show as a child, I had no idea what an impact it would have on me. However, I recently re-watched it from beginning to end, and it was better to me then, than it was when I was a child. Growing up is hard. I love this show because a lot of the themes are very relatable for me. The most important for me is that, if you're friends with someone long enough, they eventually become family.
6. "Lonesome Dove"
While this is technically a miniseries, it still deserves to be on the list. It is the epitome of classic. It is a "Western," but it is so much more. This miniseries shows times of joy, grief, friendships, love, courage, leadership, and things with which everyone can relate. Again, it is so much more than a "Western".
7. "Little House On The Prairie"
This show is all about family. The struggles of living on the prairie, the simpler times when there was no technology, and great life morals. These characters develop over the series, and before you know it, they become part of your "family".
8. "Dawson's Creek"
It doesn't get much more 2000s than this show. This one is definitely worth taking some time for, because once you see one episode, you'll be totally into it. After the series is over, I think you'll come to the realization that it really should've been "Pacey's Creek."
9. "Band Of Brothers"
This is so much more than a show about war. It is about strife, friendships, and the hardships of war. There is the overlying theme of war, but the journey that these men take together is like no other.
10. "Full House"
