Football season is finally here. The stress of registering for tickets is over, the first few weeks of classes are behind us, and it's time for us to let the Dawgs out. Our team is going to bring it on the field, and it's our job to bring it in the stands!

We southerners know that game day is the time to pull out all the stops with our style. If you're a new Dawg, or if you're trying to boost your style game from last season, I have a few tips for you:

For The Ladies...

1. Red, Black and White Sundresses

This is a game day classic. Sundresses keep you cool while you're in the stands being your hot self. Show your Bulldog pride with some school colors!

2. UGA Jerseys

UGA football jerseys double as cute, sporty dresses for game day. If you're tall (like me) and want to avoid a wardrobe malfunction, rock it as a shirt. Go Dawgs!

3. Temporary Tattoos

Want to showcase your team spirit with a little flair? Temporary tattoos are the way to go! There are multiple UGA logos to choose from, and they are under $5! Bonus: if you're feeling fancy, add some red lipstick to complete your look.

4. Cowgirl Boots

We southern ladies LOVE our boots. They go with dresses, shorts, jerseys, rompers, and anything else you could possible wear to a game. There is no such thing as too much sass in the stands!

5. Georgia Themed Jewelry

UGA themed jewelry is a game day staple. You can never go wrong with chunky jewelry in red, black or white. If you like more understated pieces, there are several stores in downtown Athens that sell simple pendants in the shape of the state of Georgia!

6. Rompers in UGA Colors

Rompers are a cute alternative to sundresses for game day. If skirts aren't your thing, but you still want to be a little fancy, give a romper a try!

7. Sun Hats

If you want to avoid getting burned and look classy while doing it, top off your game day look with a sunhat. You go, southern lady!

For the Gentlemen...

8. School Color Button Down and Polo Shirts

I appreciate a good t-shirt, but game day is the time to take it to the next level. Button downs and polo shirts are a tried and true classic.

9. Khakis

Standard khakis are always a good choice. If you really want to showcase your Dawg pride, the bookstore has UGA themed khakis in multiple colors. Go on. You know you want to give them a try.

10. UGA Themed Ties

It doesn't matter if you prefer bow ties or neck ties. If you want it, it comes in a UGA pattern. Remember, every girl's crazy about a sharp dressed man!

For Ladies and Gentlemen...

11. Superfan Status

If none of the above options show enough UGA spirit for your taste, join the ranks of The Superfans. Break out the body paint, the crazy wigs, and the UGA themed accessories. Get right up next to the field and show how proud you are to be a Dawg! Who knows? You might become game day famous!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Whether you met your new love interest online, through mutual friends, or another way entirely, you'll definitely want to know what you're getting into. I mean, really, what's the point in entering a relationship with someone if you don't know whether or not you're compatible on a very basic level?

Consider these 21 questions to ask in the talking stage when getting to know that new guy or girl you just started talking to:

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
