What All Men Need To Understand Before Dating A Stubborn Girl

Like anything else, dating a stubborn girl has its ups and downs. She'll be very loyal, supportive and dedicated towards you. You'll quickly realize that you're something special to her when she's able to occasionally put her hard-headedness aside for the sake of your sanity. On the other hand, you'll also have to learn how to handle the side of her that can be difficult at times. Consider this your guide to dating a stubborn girl.

1. She can't decipher the difference between constructive criticism and just criticism.

The last thing a stubborn girl wants to hear is what she needs to improve on. Of course, it needs to be done every now and then, but don't be surprised if she doesn't take it well.

2. Apologizing is downright hard. And so is being wrong.

Consider yourself a lucky man if the words "I'm wrong and you're right" ever come out of her mouth. She'll swallow her pride eventually and apologize, but it may take a while. Be patient.

3. She can't control her competitiveness.

And she's the world's sorest loser, so don't expect a high five if you win in a game against her. She'll let the competition get the best of her. But do not let her win because...

4. She hates pity.

Save the sympathy! It's offensive to her. She never wants to hear "I feel bad for you."

5. Compliments are great, but also difficult for her to take seriously.

Most likely, she'll think you're complimenting her just to be nice, not because you actually mean it. This doesn't mean you should stop though, because she does appreciate it. She's just unsure how to react.

6. Sometimes, she holds grudges.

She isn't proud of this, but it can be nearly impossible to just forgive and move on. During an argument, she'll probably bring up a mistake you made months ago.

7. She's defensive.

She will stick up for herself, her friends, her family and you. She won't take crap from anyone.

8. Her bad mood can last all day.

Not to discourage you, but it's going to take a lot to make her smile once she's upset. She gets stuck in funks that seem to never end. Give her time.

9. She'll get frustrated with herself more than with you.

She has high standards for herself and she'll get upset when she feels like she's not living up to them. Reassure her that she doesn't have to be perfect to be the incredible woman she is.

10. Asking for help is her absolute last resort.

To her, doing everything independently is the only option. She doesn't want help, and she won't ask for help. (Well, unless it involves lifting heavy objects...but that's about it.)

With a lot of patience, reassurance, and tolerance, dating a stubborn girl can be the best type of challenge. Be sure to give her the time and space she needs, and show that you care deeply for her. In return, she'll love you like no other.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
