Stress is SUCH a real thing in this day and age. We worry about school, family, relationships, our image, and so much more! Sometimes we can get so overwhelmed, we get eaten up by our stress and all we want to do is go hide in a cave! This list is what you can do when you get to that point in life.
1. Play With a Puppy
Seriously, how can you stay stressed out if you are focusing your attention on these adorable little fluffballs
2. Paint
Painting or doing something crafty is always a great way to get your mind off of what is stressing you out! You can either get your own supplies and just be creative, or find a painting class in your local area!
3. Scream
Now, screaming may not be considered "fun," but seriously, just lock yourself in your room and just yell until you feel a little bit of relief from your stress.
4. Karaoke
Karaoke is so much fun! Just go out with your friends, be willing to embarass yourself, and sing your worries away.
5. Dance
If you aren't into singing your stress away...then dance it out!
6. Write Something
Writing can be a great way to pour your worries onto paper. You can write what you are stressed out about, or you can write something fun!
7. Laugh
You obviously are not going to be thinking about how stressed you are if something is making you laugh! Watch your favorite funny movie, watch a silly Youtube video, hang out with the guy who won Class Clown in high school! Laugh!
8. Listen to Music
This is my personal favorite way to relieve stress. So blast your favorite tunes as loud as you want, or put some earphones in and listen quietly! Music is a great way to relieve stress.
9. Call Someone You Miss
Talking to someone you haven't seen or talked to in a while can be a great way to decrease how stressed out you feel. I go to school out of state, and I will often call friends from home when I am overwhelmed at school.
10. Exercise
Exercise can be a great way to escape! Go for a run! Take a pilates class! You will feel good about yourself, and that alone can relieve some stress.
11. Hug Someone You Love
This one is simple. Getting a hug from a family member, or best friend, or just anyone special can help you feel better about almost anything. It is definitely a good way to get rid of some of that weight off your shoulders.
12. Sleep. Sleep. Sleep.
Sometimes feeling overwhelmed with stress is your body's way of telling you that you need some rest. So, one of the best ways to relieve stress... get some sleep.
Stress can be really terrible! So, next time you are feeling like there is just too much on your plate, try some of the things on this list. Don't let the downs in life take over your brain. Get rid of that stress!
