As Thanksgiving draws nearer and nearer, we here in room 202 find ourselves counting down the days until break. But it seems that the closer we get to break, the more work and stress is added onto our lives. After several grueling hours of intense research, we have provided you with a comprehensive list of our fool-proof ways to deal with stress.
1. Bang your head against the wall.
We all know your head is pounding and you're all sorts of frustrated, so just go ahead and bang your head into the wall until you make a hole. That will relieve everything, we promise.
2. Procrastinate.

3. Cry.
What solves stress better than crying? It’s our innate reaction to hard times, and boy has it proven itself useful. Tears are one of the ultimate solutions to overcoming stress because they do absolutely nothing. So let it all out!
4. Call your mom (and cry to her).
Have you cried too much on your own? Have no fear, that’s what moms are for. Give your mom a call and pour your stresses onto her.
5. Complain about your problems to everyone and do nothing to solve them.
6. Take a 15-20 minute power nap that lasts for two hours.
They say power naps are the best kind of study breaks. But if you really want the power you need to overcome the stress in your life, it’s best if you turn your alarm off and keep on sleeping. Why nap for 15-20 minutes when you can just sleep away your problems for 2+ hours? Bring on the power.
7. Eat your feelings.
What's better than stuffing your face? Honestly, nothing. So eat all of your snacks to the point of no return, because what else will make you feel less hopeless?
8. Spend more money on food cause you ate all of it.
Now that you have eaten all of your snacks and gourmandized the care package that your family sent you, it’s time to head back to Walmart and spend some more money on food that you plan to eat for the next time you are stressed. (Don’t forget the chocolate!)
9. Clean your room.
Some say that cleaning is actually one of the worst ways to deal with stress because, while it’s productive, it doesn’t solve other problems such as work, school, etc. But that’s exactly why it’s #9 on our handy-dandy stress management list. If you need to avoid your problems, clean your whole room up and down, vacuum and dust the smallest corners of your itty-bitty dorm room. And if you’re really feeling up to it, go ahead a redecorate! It’s another great way to deal with your problems first hand.
10. Drink wine.
The best way to relax in room 202. After a long week of pounding your head into the wall, crying to your mother, eating all of your food and procrastinating to your heart’s desire, we’d say you’ve definitely earned yourself a sweet glass of victorious wine. And if you are ever feeling stressed again, just repeat steps 1-10.
