It is truly the most stressful time of the year when finals are looming right around the corner. The fear, the anxiety, and the stress grab hold of us like a vice grip, no end in sight. But after all of that is done what do we do? The stress still lingers and it feels like there are still a thousand things that we could be doing instead of sitting around catching up on Stranger Things.

HI, I'm Alyssa Ochss, coming to you from the backseat of a moving car, and these are a couple of ways to calm down and relax after finals.

1. Go Out With Friends

Your friends are some of the people who know you the best and what better way to calm down by talking through your stresses together? There are other things that you could do with them too such as go to the mall or hang out at a local diner or coffee shop.

2. Have A Drink (If You're Of Age)

Sitting down and drinking with friends or by yourself can calm you down. Especially if you're just about to sit down to one of your favorite shows with or without the crew. Remember to drink only if you're of age and to drink responsibly!

3. Go Get A Coffee

Though you've probably had enough of this drink while cramming for finals, I've found drinking coffee is a great way to calm down. But you don't just have to drink coffee: you can drink tea, hot chocolate, or a whole different drink all together!

4. Take A Nap

I love sleep and my family can attest to that. Taking a nap rejuvenates the body and makes you feel better after a long day. And after all of the finals, we kind of deserve it.

5. Go On A Trip

Either a day trip to Frankenmuth or a weekend trip Up North can calm you down and get you back to high spirits in no time! Walking around and enjoying the views can have a calming effect.

6. Visit Family

Like your friends, your family can know just what to say if you're having a hard time calming down from the stress of finals. Asking them questions can open up and show you a whole story that you had no idea about.

7. Go Shopping

The Holidays are right around the corner. Going shopping can help to calm down with a few treat yourself items and help you get all the gifts you need for the Holidays.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
