The summer between when a student graduates high school and when they begin college is a very stressful yet exciting time. These are nine thoughts that run through your mind when making the big adjustment.
"What if I don't like my roommates?"
A main worry for new college students is getting along with their new roommates. They're living with them after all.
"How do I do laundry?"
Admittedly, we all think we know how to do laundry. But there's still that little bit of doubt in our minds.
"What if I don't belong to this college?"
A more serious and scary question that passes through the minds of every new student at least once.
"What if the classes are too hard?"
Coming from high school, worrying about classes is to be expected.
"What if I don't make any new friends?"
Every teenager is worried about fitting in, but it's on a whole other level when we're moving to a new area.
"What if I can't find my way around?"
College campuses are big! What if we get lost on the way to class and end up in another state?
"What if I can't wake up in time for class?"
Especially those with morning classes are worried about waking up on time for them.
"How do I get bathroom products?"
Most upcoming freshmen have never had to go buy things like toothpaste and deodorant for themselves, so it's a little scary.
"How often do I go back home?"
This question is very important. How often do I want to go back home and see my family? What's the sweet spot between too much and too little?
