Not only developing fundamental sound basketball players, but turning boys to men. Stanford University Business graduate, Thomas J. Peters, is an American writer on business management practices. Mr. Peters stated that, Leaders don't create followers, they create more leaders. That’s exactly what Coach Brooks Miller is doing here at Trine University.

He now passes the torch off into the hands of another very special individual, Senior guard, Will Dixon. Using his elite basketball IQ and illusive speed. Making a statement that the Trine Thunder are a force to be recon with. Averaging 22.7 points a game and shooting and outstanding 91% from the free throw line. You better believe this senior guard is playing every game like it’s his last.
Also, as a leader Will Dixon understands the importance of the classroom. When you don’t see him on the court. You can find this senior chemical engineer in the labs. Studying and mastering his craft. With the same passion and Grit, as if he was on the basketball court. Truly embodying the spirt of a Trine Men’s basketball player. This young man really has a bright future ahead of him.
But as we all know. It takes more than one person to create a team. Will Dixon is accompanied by a group of battle tested individuals. Of this group, although only sophomores, Jordan Kreglow and Kyle Dotson possess the mindset of veteran leaders. Both, emphasizing comminution. These fearless competitors are the rock for this Trine Men’s basketball team. Much is expected of them as the season moves forward.
In addition to this resilient team. Trine University welcomes 6’5 Sophomore forward Myles Copland to the team. Transferring from Siena Heights University. Myles now completes the three headed monster down low for the Thunder. Led by 6’8 junior Ellis Cummings, from Ottawa Hills, Ohio.
Ellis is a big factor in every game for the Thunder. He is a nightmare for the opposition. Combing for 7 blocked shots and 23 points in the last three games. Standing by his side is 6’6 sophomore Jared Dishop. Jared continues to develop every day. With his ability to set out and knock down a jump shot. He makes this trio about as diverse as they come.
