To My Boyfriend As Valentine's Day Approaches

It's not about who you have known the longest, it's about who came and never left.

Khaled,

Valentine's Day is a day to express the love you have for friends, family, and significant others. Many stores will have cards and candy for sale or even stuffed animals for the kid inside us all. Many give their significant others gifts and chocolate (or at least that's what the commercials say) and go out for dinner, but to me, it's way more than that. It's not about the gifts, It is about remembering why you are so in love with your boyfriend or girlfriend and why you would go to the ends of the Earth for them.

You and I have been dating for about two months and it has been incredible so far. Every day is a new adventure with great memories made. I still remember the first time I met you when you sat next to me in one of our classes and I was too shy to ask for a piece of paper, but I took the shot and eventually, we became really close. Our first date was to Taco Bell, but I didn't care because I got to spend it with someone great. There are many other memories we've made and many still so make and I can't wait for them all.

When I look at you I see someone who has a lot of passion in their heart. You have done so much for me and continue to exceed my expectations. You have taken care of me when I've been sick, helped me through anxiety, and tutored me in math (which is not the easiest for me). I see how much you care about your family and how much you enjoy spending time with your mom. It's the little things you do that make you so wonderful and full of life.

I continue to be amazed by you every day. You teach me how to be just as loving and caring, but also going out of my way to make sure you are happy and healthy just by making dinner, back scratches, or playing video games with you. You teach me to be a better person and stay positive even if I am having a rough day because you never want to see me unhappy just as I do for you. It's really about the things we do that we can't physically touch. These things have huge impact on one another.

As we celebrate our first Valentine's Day, I want you to think of all the memories and lessons we will make and all the time we will spend together. I want us to remember why we picked each other in a sea of people. I chose to be with you because I saw how well we would be able to grow with each other. And with that, there's nobody I'd rather be with.

Love,

Kelsey

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
