Every year, the question of "what am I going to do for Halloween?" lingers over everyone's head, as if you have to do something.
If you're not dressed like a slutty mouse and getting crunk at frat boy Chad's rager, it's like Halloween never happens and you're a total loser. Well, I'm here to tell you that Halloween isn't just mixed drinks and parties you won't remember the next day 'cause you blacked out in the middle of bobbing for apples.
This Halloween, I'm especially lucky because I get to share it with my boyfriend. I'll admit, I've never been a party girl, but even now that I'm happily cuffed, I couldn't imagine dragging us both to a place where we stand around awkwardly for an hour, complaining about our costumes pinching us in places they shouldn't and then going home buzzed with an insane throb in our heads.
So, if you're like me, you'll find that these things are way more fulfilling than getting drunk at some random party.
1. Carve pumpkins together

There's no better activity on Halloween than having a pumpkin carving contest while casually drinking pumpkin beer. Can anyone say, yes please?
2. Go apple picking

Not to mention, this is the PRIME time to make a mini photoshoot happen
3. Bake yummy apple treats

Don't let those apples go to waste! Apple crisp, caramel apples, apple pies, the recipes are endless!
4. Watch scary movies together

Another reason to cuddle even closer? Why not?
5. Go to a haunted house

While I'm not the biggest fan of paying for people to scare the poop outta me, I'd much rather do that than blackout at a party.
6. Take our nieces/nephews/younger siblings trick-or-treating

Little kids in batman and Cinderella costumes could not be any cuter, and when they're not looking, we can sneak some of their candy.
7. Build a fort and tell scary stories

Whoever tells the scariest story gets to eat the most candy. I don't make the rules, it's just law!
8. Literally anything else

No matter what you do, it's still Halloween and you're supposed to have a little extra fun than normal. So, if you really want to, go out to that party, eat that large cheese pizza by yourself, or carve pumpkins with your boyfriend. Whatever you do, enjoy this Halloween and be safe!
