Do you ever look at how the world is at the moment, with all the stories and tales about what one country may be doing to another and how this current election looks to other countries looking on from the outside? The world is filled with many problems whether human or not. The subject at hand is about the American citizens, what this election means to us, and what it’ll mean for the future of our nation.
You look at the candidates within the debates already held, and the main issues they talk about involve each other instead of our nation. One proposes that we build a wall while the other wants to bring more immigrants into the country. Then again, what more could you ask for from a candidate who started out as a businessman with over a billion dollars and the other a scandalous first lady of the past who only recently was shot into the mainstream due to accusations based on private emails and events that could’ve been covered up by her administration. Sure, these two candidates have only had a handful of debates and have already pitted their VPs against one another in a smaller debate, but when you truly look at the situation objectively, is one better than the other?
Many citizens claim that Donald Trump, the Republican GOP nominee, is racist beyond compare and a disgrace to his own family name. Many citizens are now pulling away from voting for him due to accusations brought up by others to bring down the nominee and to make most of his supporters pull away from him. Then you have the other half of citizens voting for the Democratic nominee, Hillary Clinton, whose very own scandalous career as the head of the state department is a mystery to many. I personally don’t like either of the two candidates for reasons best kept to myself, and the fact that one candidate is a scandalous fraud trying to keep the Democrats in power while the other, like said above, is a businessman whose very own ideals are the ones only held proper by radicalists who want to keep this country so-called safe, only have racist comments to say towards others at his rallies.
Then why do we vote for one or the other while people claim there is a greater good seen in one over the other? I see no good in either one, but I guess it’s just my viewpoint because what I see in our future if either one is elected, is a grim one. A future in which for me personally, I would not want to raise a family in, one that for future generations, looks like a petty story. No matter who gets elected though, we as American citizens are doomed because our own common sense couldn’t even save us from realizing what our future would look like when it comes electing either one of these two candidates.
If I were able to vote this year, I would vote for the third party. However, no one really does vote for that third party candidate anyways because people are blinded by the problems that aren’t really important to this election that are brought up by the candidates themselves. Then there is also the fact that in recent news, is that Russia has hacked their way into the election poles. Trump also brought up the idea that both candidates should partake in a drug test to see what's really going on. This point made me wonder why this isn't the case. Why aren't these candidates getting background checks so we can see what they've been involved with in the past. However, the fact that the candidates might lie to protect themselves evidently means that idea wouldn’t work with slightest bit of hope. Therefore, now I end on a note that would leave most of you thinking hard about it, do you, in your own opinion, lean like the candidate you chose?
