- We love all of the different bows we wear. Bows are something that have taken the softball world by storm and made the game so much prettier. The worst thing about bows is how much they cost. You can make them but for someone who is not very crafty, buying them is your best option. Crafty Bow Mama is always my go to when I am looking for bows to buy.
- We love getting tan. How could you not!? Playing out in 90 degree heat every weekend gives you a pretty sweet looking tan. Worst part about this tan, the fact that it’s only your face, shoulders, and arms. When shorts were big in the sport, then you had a little bit of tan on your knees and only one knee was tan if you wore a sliding pad.
- We love getting to play the game we love every weekend. There is nothing better than stepping onto the field and being able to play with all of your heart. Nothing else matters once you cross between those two white lines. The worst part about playing every weekend is missing out on events with family and friends. There will be graduation parties and bonfires you might miss, and it is not that fun. The thing is though, your friends start to realize after all of these years what softball means to you.
- We love having a close game. The best part is when you are the one that is being able to make a difference in the game. Nothing feels better than helping your team win a game that was a little too close for comfort. Worst part about a close game is that it may not go your way. Balls may not always fall the way you want or calls may not go the way that you want, but those are things that you cannot control. Learn to control the controllables.
- We love having a webgem play or that great hit. Nothing feels better than having everyone screaming your name because you did something memorable. Worst part is striking out or making an error. No one feels good after a bad at bat or a play in the field that you should have made. The thing about that though is that once it happens it is over and done with and you cannot change it.
- We love making friends for a life time. The friends that you meet from playing will become some of the best friends that you ever meet in your life. I have friends still from when I was eight years old playing softball. Worst part is leaving your friends once you go your separate ways for college. Some of you will play and some of you will not but you will always have that special connection because you played together.
Softball is something that will really touch your life. Love or hate these things, these are what make the game, the game. Love every chance you get to be on the field. They will make memories for a life time.
