Living in Norman, I am surrounded by sports. With the start of football season, I am bombarded by sports team names, statistics, and some strange jargon that I can not even begin to understand. I am sure I am not alone. For all you who think a touchdown only matters in space travel, here is a list of all those familiar feelings.
1:The Confusion.

2: Trying to keep track of sports
With so many different sports it's hard to keep track of them all, and they sort of blend together after a while. "What do you mean it's not called a turkey?!?", I say to my confused family as they watch a basketball game.
3: Player names
I don't even know where to start! Between nicknames and names that sound like nicknames, I haven't got the slightest clue what to call these people. Names like DeMarco Murray get confused with "The Marco Murray", and I still don't know who the Belldozer is.
4: Injuries
Through my little time spent watching football I have seen heads roll, and people have said little more than "Well, there goes my fantasy season". I don't understand how these people can undergo massive injuries and be ready to play in the next game!
Well, that's all I got, and that barely even scratched the surface of what my experience of sports has been. Between sitting and my room and hearing the screams of "GO, RUN COME ON! MY GRANDMOTHER THROWS BETTER THAN YOU" and statistics that make no sense I'm not sure I ever will understand it, but at least you can now share in my confusion.
