This year was a phenomenal year for super bowl. With all of the craziness that 2016 had, 2017 needed to start off with something to give the people of the U.S. hope again. Not only did the Patriots take the win against the Falcons (34-28), but the commercial game was anything but weak. So for all of you that were live streaming the game and weren’t able to watch the commercials live, here’s a list of the top 10 commercials from this years Super Bowl 2017.

1. Audi, #DriveProgressive

One of the most and only moving commercials of the night had to be by Audi with their #DriveProgress. The commercial takes you to a go kart race where the dialog of a father watching his daughter race plays in the background. He explains his fear of having to tell her the cruel realities of life growing up female, but in the end finds that she can stand alone against gender oppression. This commercial really calls to the inner feminist in me as it may to you.

You can watch the commerical here:

2. Tide, "Gronk's Cleaners Discount" Starring Jeffrey Tambor and Rob Gronkowski

Gronk made an appearance in not only 1, but 2 commercials during the super bowl. In his Tide commercial that he co stars with Jeffrey Tambor, you can find the two of them in “Gronk’s Cleaners”. There’s a classic deadpan humor conversation between the two, and then we have our ending with Jeffrey Tambor being an unsatisfied customer. The humor in this commercial was very light hearted and I think that’s why it scores so high in the eye of America.

You can watch the commerical here:

3. Skittles “Romance

The Skittles commercial took on a classic situation with a twist. The use of the scenario with the innovation of the different people who live in the house/enter the house/ hide in the house is clever and leave for a very entertaining 30 seconds.

You can watch the commercial here:

4. Mr. Clean, "Cleaner of Your Dreams"

The classic Mr. Clean took on a sexy aspect this super bowl. You can find Mr. Clean picking up the house and mopping the floors with his companion. Throughout the commercial you see the woman falling more in love with Mr. Clean up until the very end… and you can watch that part for yourself. After all, who doesn’t love a man that can clean?

You can watch the commercial here:

5. Kia Niro “Hero’s Journey” Starring Melissa McCarthy

Rounding out the best commercials for Super Bowl 2017 is Melissa McCarthy in her ad for Kia Niro. The commercial takes you through a few examples of Melissa trying to help the environment, but having everything turn horribly wrong. In the end you don’t have to be a huge environmental activist in order to help the planet, you can just buy the cool car Melissa is riding around in.

girl with a hat

This is for the girls who have dealt with an emotionally, mentally, physically or verbally abusive father.

The ones who have grown up with a false lens of what love is and how relationships should be. The ones who have cried themselves to sleep wondering why he hurts you and your family so much. This is for all the girls who fall in love with broken boys that carry baggage bigger than their own, thinking it's their job to heal them because you watched your mother do the same.

Blair Waldorf Quote
"DESTINY IS FOR LOSERS. IT'S JUST A STUPID EXCUSE TO WAIT FOR THINGS TO HAPPEN INSTEAD OF MAKING THEM HAPPEN." - BLAIR WALDORF.

The world stopped in 2012 when our beloved show "Gossip Girl" ended. For six straight years, we would all tune in every Monday at 9:00 p.m. to see Upper Eastside royalty in the form of a Burberry headband clad Blair Waldorf. Blair was the big sister that we all loved to hate. How could we ever forget the epic showdowns between her and her frenemy Serena Van Der Woodsen? Or the time she banished Georgina Sparks to a Christian summer camp? How about that time when she and her girls took down Bart Bass? Blair is life. She's taught us how to dress, how to be ambitious, and most importantly, how to throw the perfect shade.

1. The awkward hellos on move-in day.

You're moving your stuff onto your floor, and you will encounter people you don't know yet in the hallway. They live on your floor, so you'll awkwardly smile and maybe introduce yourself. Recently I completed my freshman year of college, and boy, what an experience. It was a completely new learning environment and I can't believe how much I learned. In an effort to save time, here are the ten biggest lessons I learned from my first year of college.

1. Everyone is in the same boat

For me, the scariest part of starting school was that I was alone, that I wouldn't be able to make any friends and that I would stick out. Despite being told time and time again that everyone had these same feelings, it didn't really click until the first day when I saw all the other freshman looking as uneasy and uncomfortable as me. Therefore, I cannot stress this enough, everyone is feeling as nervous as you.
