5 Of The Best Food Deals Out There
science.slashdot.org

It has been a few weeks since I wrote about food, but I started working again so I spend so much time around it, that it's controlling my every thought. As a college student I'm always looking for deals, and the best prices when I'm buying food. I tend to give into temptation very often so I'm easily persuaded so I tend to find myself at fast food restaurants way too often so I give you the best food deals out there.

1) Cumberland Farms Iced Coffee

I just found out about this hidden gem. It's 99 cents for a giant cup of coffee, yes 99 cents. I spent so much money at Dunkin Donuts in the past, and my bank account felt the wrath of my coffee addiction. Now I can get a bigger coffee for less. The best part is you make it yourself, so you can add as much or little ice as you want as well as as much sugar and cream. You will no longer have to feel a sense of shame when you order you coffee with 100 sugars and 55 creams.

2) Wendys 4 for 4

I'm aware that Burger King has a 5 for 4 deal, but Burger's food is garbage. So if you have $4.28 laying around go to your closest Wendy's and get a 4 for 4. It comes with a Junior Bacon Cheeseburger (JBC for you Wendy's diehards) or a Crispy Chicken Blt and on the side your get 4 chicken nuggets, fries and a drink. For some it's more than enough food, for me, it's a nice snack late at night. Mix in a couple of those old frosty coupons then you have the perfect midnight meal.

3) Burger Kings for $1.49

I know I just said Burger King is garbage, but this deal is one you can't refuse. 14 cents a nugget, isn't America a great place (Trump doesn't need to change our fast food industry). The taste of the lackluster chicken nuggets can easily be masked by honey mustard. Unlike many places Burger King will give you two packages of sauce, they must know their food is terrible.

4) Subway's Breakfast Deal

This isn't just an attempt to get a raise from my employers, Subway has a great deal for a limited time only. They are offering a buy one, get one 6inch deal before 9AM. Subway's got some great breakfast sandwiches that are far superior to breakfast sandwiches elsewhere. So why not buy one, and get a free 6 inch for lunch later in the day. When planning your next beach trip make sure you go to Subway before 9AM so you have a sandwich for the ride up, and a sandwich for lunch to avoid the pricey, greasy food found at beachfront grills.

5) Dominoes 3 3 Topping Pizzas for $24

This deal is carry out only but don't let that drive you away. This deal runs from Monday to Thursday so it hurts the weekend partiers. All that aside this is an incredible deal, and I don't even like Dominoes since I had it every Tuesday in Elementary School. Similar to the Burger King approach, you can mask the bad tasting food with good tasting food, so load your 3 topping pizza with toppings like pepperoni, mushrooms, and sausage to mask the gross garlicy taste of the crust.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
