Dear Roomie,
I wasn't expecting this when I met you. I wasn't aware of what was in store. I didn't know we would be this close. I never thought we would become best friends.
Living together brings out the best and worst in people. You get to know a lot about someone. From learning their morning routine, to what music they listen to in the shower, inside and out, you see who a person is. When it comes to roommates, you hear the miracle stories and the horror stories. And man, am I thankful I got a good one.
So roomie, this letter is to thank you for being the best roommate a girl could ask for.
Thank you for waking me up in the morning before you leave when you know I have class. Thanks for listening to my daily afternoon rants about what went wrong throughout the day. Thank you for accompanying me to dinner, and even more so for early morning breakfasts. Thanks for not caring that I keep my T.V. on all night or listening to really loud Disney music while getting ready. Thank you for telling me if I rock an outfit or it looks plain stupid. Thanks for being understanding when my laundry basket is overflowing or have two day old to-go boxes still on the counter.
We have many late night talks and have gotten to know a lot about each other. You are understanding and nonjudgmental. You are always there for me on my good and bad days and super encouraging. I am beyond grateful for all that you do and all that you are! College would not be the same without you! If I am going to share a small cinder block room and even smaller bathroom with someone, I'm glad it's you!
Thanks again, Roomie! Love you!
Sincerely, the girl across the room.
