Hi friends,

I was sitting here thinking how excited I am to see you guys in a few days and then I realized, I don't think I have ever taken the time tell you guys how much I appreciate you guys and how thankful I am to have each and every one of you in my life. I know my constant sass and sarcasm can make it hard to see that, but trust me when I sass, there isn't a single thing that I wouldn't do for you guys. You guys have a talent for making any situation fun and making me laugh until actual tears come out of my eyes, and I just wanted to say thank you.

Thank you for always being able to put a smile on my face, seriously. I could be in the worst mood possible and all I have to do is scroll through old pictures, texts, Snapchats, whatever it may be to immediately put a smile on my face.

Thank you for always being down to do nothing with me. My favorite type of texts are the, "hey come over and do nothing with me" texts. Love to see them, love to receive them. We can literally lay there FOR HOURS and do absolutely nothing, yet still, manage to have fun and laugh at stupid videos for hours on end.

Thank you for all the summer nights where we would sit by the bonfire until three in the morning talking about anything and everything. I think we talked about every topic possible from boys to school, to working out, even to wondering what it would be like to be a boy for a day. Any topic, you name it - we've probably talked about it.

Thank you for being my best and worst motivator when it comes to working out. Most days we have a kick-ass workout, but some days we force ourselves to the gym, only to walk into the locker room, give each other the look, and walk right back out to get some food and talk about how "we actually need to start working out and eating healthy" (but it never really happens).

Thank you for all of our late night summer adventures at the park or on the golf course that usually ends up with us seeing a skunk and sprinting in the opposite direction to the car, and somehow ending up eating Mexican food at 1 in the morning.

Thank you for always being there to support me in whatever I choose to do.

You guys have always been there for me, and you guys have always encouraged, motivated, and pushed me in whatever I am doing- and for that, I couldn't possibly thank you guys enough.

Thank you for keeping in touch. I can always count on our group chats to keep me sane while I'm three cups of coffee deep studying somewhere. Despite the miles and miles that are between us all- no matter what, whenever we are all home together, we can always pick up right where we left off as if not even a minute has gone by where we were all apart.

Thank you for all the random forest adventures, late night park missions that never fail to make me laugh.

Thank you for trusting me, really.

I know you guys feel like talking to me about your problems is a waste of time because it takes away from my studying, but it doesn't. I love it, I love that you guys trust me enough to talk to me about whats going on how life is going for you. I love hearing about all the amazing things you guys are doing and I love helping you guys out when you need it - and I mean that. Don't ever feel hesitant to text me about anything, I'm only a phone call or text away; and if I don't answer keep calling/texting.

I can go on and on writing to you guys about everything I'm thankful for about you guys, but I have exams to study for and I'll be seeing you all soon so I'll end with one more.

Thank you for being you.

You guys are the absolute best group of friends that I could ever ask for, and I don't even know how/why I got so lucky with you guys. I know I don't seem like I'm the emotional type, but you guys have no idea how much you guys mean to me. You guys have been there from the start and I know we'll all still be together having the best reunions when we're all older. But for now, just know that I love and appreciate everything about you guys,

Love,

Me

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
