29 Things I Want To Thank My Big Sister For As She Turns 29

Being the baby of the family is one of the best things ever. But it wouldn't as good without a great big sister. So here are 29 things I need to thank my big sister for.

1. Thanks for being the one who had the strict rules.

Because by the time I was old enough to have rules, Mom and Dad let me get away with a ton more things.

2. Thanks for letting me tag along with you and your friends.

Pretty sure your friends liked me better than you anyway though!

3. Thanks for always coming to my band concerts.

Even though I know you didn't want to be there.

4. Thanks for doing my recital makeup.

Even though you really didn't have a choice, but I had the best makeup.

5. Thanks for sitting through my recital.

In your work uniform not to mention. You're the real MVP for working all day then sitting through 3 hours of dances.

6. Thanks for styling my hair.

Because lets be real, you're way better at that than I am.

7. Thanks for being the best present giver.

It's like you can read my mind and you know what I want before I know what I want.

8. Thanks for not killing me when I "borrowed" your clothes.

Your closet was just better.

9. Thanks for giving me your hand-me downs.

But let's be real, I was going to take them anyway.

10. Thanks for helping me with homework and projects.

Because you're better at that whole school thing and I'm too lazy to do my work myself.

11. Thanks for being the only one who understands how frustrating Mom can be.

*eye rolls*

12. Thanks for being the only one who understands how frustrating Dad can be.

*eye rolls again*

13. Thanks for not killing me when I took your room when you moved into your dorm.

Whoops lol.

14. Thanks for not being a snitch when I did something I wasn't supposed to.

You're the real MVP part 2.

15. Thanks for letting me embarrass you in front of people.

Sorry not sorry.

16. Thanks for always being on my side.

You're the realest person on my team.

17. Thanks for sitting in the back while I was clearly too young for the front.

Sorry not sorry part 2.

18. Thanks for dealing with me tap dancing in the room above yours.

Not sorry.

19. Thanks for letting me have all the attention since the day I was born.

But I mean you must've known no one was going to pay attention to you once I was born.

20. Thanks for buying me food.

Even though I probably would have eaten yours if you didn't get me any lol.

21. Thanks for playing with me when I was little.

Even though when I was 5 and you were 12 we had a race in the basement and you barely gave me a head start , so you cheated.

22. Thanks for being one of my favorite supporters.

Love youuuuu.

23. Thanks for not pushing me off the bed when we went on vacations.

Sharing a bed was annoying but I don't know how you managed to sleep next to me.

24. Thanks for putting up with my hissy fits.

Because we both know how bad they can be.

25. Thanks for letting me control the radio in the car.

Because we both know I can listen to some weird stuff.

26. Thanks for letting me copy your every move.

Because who doesn't want to be like their sister.

27. Thanks for a lifetime of memories.

The good , the bad and the ugly a.k.a you ;)

28. Thanks for giving me the best niece ever.

But does she get more perfect?

29. Thanks for being you fam.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
