10 Moments Olivia From 'The Bachelor' Annoyed You
desireehartsock.com

If you watched this season of The Bachelor, you understand why so many people dislike Olivia Caridi, a contestant on the show. But, because of her, there was never a dull moment during this season. Her scheming, double personality, and mouth, won't be forgotten for a very long time. Here are ten moments you couldn't stand watching:

WARNING! SPOILERS AHEAD!

1. When She Quit Her Job to be on the Show

Okay, I understand that signing on to a reality show takes a lot of dedication, but did she really have to quit her job to see if she could maybe fall in love with this guy? And on a second note, why did Ben think that gesture was grand enough to give her the first impression rose? If I were The Bachelor and heard that one of the women quit her job, I would probably send her home. On her website (yes, she has a website), Olivia says "I gave up my job to be on the show, but I did not give up my career. I am confident that I will get another job in broadcast news." Sorry Olivia, but I highly doubt you'll get a job now that everyone knows you as the crazy contestant who literally never shuts her mouth. Why did no one realize that she was crazy at this point?

2. When She Performed as a Showgirl in Vegas... Then Cried About It

On a group date in Las Vegas, the women had to perform in a talent show. Some juggled, some played instruments, but Olivia decided to pop out of a birthday cake (even though there was no birthday being celebrated) and awkwardly bounce in a tiny outfit, thinking she looked like a Las Vegas showgirl. Her performance was not a dance, but a series of awkward bounces and shimmying. I understand that she wanted to be sexy, but this was not the way to go about that.

Also, I highly doubt that her panic attack that she had after her dance was real. It was more of a "Why Didn't Ben Think My Bouncing and Shimmying Was Sexy?!" attack. And if she really thought it was that bad, why didn't she just be cute and laugh it off? Why did she think this was a good idea?

3. When She Purposely Made the Other Women Jealous

It seemed as if every time Olivia had alone time with Ben, she would return to the cocktail party and tell the other women that she and Ben had some beautiful conversation about them spending the rest of their lives together. At one point, she asked the other women where they would take Ben if they got alone time with him and then made a big deal about not telling the other women where she and Ben went since they went somewhere "special." She even told the women that Ben said he was falling in love with her! Once, while she and Ben were talking on a balcony above the girls, she purposely waved to them and loudly yelled hello. Another time, in a private interview, she bragged about how her rose she got on a one-on-one date smelled fresh. Thankfully, the other women saw right through her, but really? Is she in middle school?

4. When She Stole Ben for the Cooking Date

In Mexico City, Ben and the women took a Spanish class and then put their knowledge to the test when they had to cook Mexican dishes from recipes written in Spanish. Since everyone had to work in pairs and there was an odd number of women on the date, one woman had to work with Ben. Olivia immediately jumped on Ben, majorly pissing off Jubilee and the rest of the women. There were some girls in the group who had barely talked to Ben at this point, but Olivia, who never lets Ben have a moment to himself, HAD to work with him. Karma is real though, because the chef judges said that Olivia’s dish looked like dog food. Ben also took her to a section of the marketplace they were in so they can taste some fresh mint leaves. The other women said that maybe it’s because Olivia has terrible breath. I could see it.

5. When She Said She and Ben Had a Love Language

One time, Olivia made a big deal about how she and Ben had a “love language” because he would put his hand on her knee and squeeze her waist when he hugged her. You know, two completely normal things to do, that he was probably doing to all the other women. This was obviously her attempt at making herself feel special while also trying to make all the other women jealous. I’m so happy that the women saw right through her. Unfortunately, Ben took a while.

6. When She Gave Ben a Ring

One night, Olivia thought it would be a smart idea to give Ben a promise ring of sorts. Ben looked super uncomfortable accepting it, especially after he received all the comments from the rest of the girls about how insensitive she was being. Why did she think this was a good idea? There were still a good number of women in the competition. She was probably expecting him to just send the rest of the women home so they could ride off into the sunset together. It was honestly so creepy. Poor Ben.

7. When She Told Amanda She Reminded Her of an Episode of "Teen Mom"

Olivia probably pissed the most people off when this happened. Amanda, a single mom, was talking about how her two daughters split their time between their dad and her mom while Amanda’s on the show. Logically, Olivia thought it would be appropriate to tell Amanda that the story reminded her of an episode of Teen Mom. Because, you know, that’s not offensive at all. Amanda was very clearly pissed, and brought it to Olivia’s attention as well as Ben’s. Does Olivia always think of Teen Mom when she hears about custody arrangements, a completely normal thing? Are you kidding me? Olivia apologized to Amanda during Women Tell All, when Amanda told everyone that being a mom is “her jam.” Go Amanda!

8. When She Told Ben She Liked to Read Books and Talk Smart Things

Before the rose ceremony the same night the Teen Mom incident occurred, Ben took Olivia aside and asked her why so many girls in the house were complaining about her. Since she obviously knew what she did wrong, she blamed it on the fact that the other girls in the house like to do each others’ hair and nails while she liked to (she actually said this) “read books and talk smart things.” After Ben stupidly kept her on the show, she went on a two-on-one date with him and Emily, where she ranted to Ben about how intellectual she is. Obviously, Olivia doesn’t realize that character is waaaaaayyyyy more important than intelligence. Jennifer flawlessly fired back at Olivia during Women Tell All, saying “Maybe if you got off your high horse for a little bit and tried to bond with us, you’d realize that we like to read books and talk smart things too.” Olivia was speechless, and I wanted to give Jennifer a hug.

9. When Ben FINALLY Sent Her Home

On the two-on-one date, Ben made a great choice and gave Emily a rose, sending Olivia home. As Ben and Emily rode away on a boat, Olivia stood by the shore of the beach they were on just staring at them, not even moving. She looked as if she was in complete shock. Honestly, I was laughing hysterically at this point. I understand how it could suck if you like someone so much and they send you home, but she deserved it.

10. When She Cried About Being Bullied in Elementary School

During Women Tell All, Olivia went off on a tangent about how she was having a difficult time being on The Bachelor because she was bullied in elementary school. Umm, what? Shushanna brought up a good point, saying that people who were bullied should definitely make the extra effort to be nice to others and learn from their experiences. She did have a point that the girls were getting a bit excessive with their bullying as well, but really, she told a woman she reminded her of a teen mom. I would probably get excessive too.

I’m so happy that Ben ended up with Lauren B. and not Olivia! Though I do miss hate-watching her sometimes, I’ve heard rumors that she’ll grace our presence once again on Bachelor in Paradise this summer. Will she continue to terrorize the rest of the house? Will she fall hopelessly in love wherever she ends up? How many books will she bring? Stay tuned.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
