Reactions to 'Awkward' Season 5 Part 2

The second half of "Awkward" Season 5 has started, and fans are already reeling from the changes. (Spoiler Alert!)

The first half of season 5 ended with Matty and Jenna as a happy couple and all was well in the hearts of the fans. Waiting for the couple to reunite was torture and many fans were excited that they were finally back together. The second half begins by immediately ripping those shipping dreaming to shreads, as well as some other socking changes. I've loved the characters, hated the characters, and loved them again. Here are my thoughts as season 5 part 2 progresses:

1. They're broken up? ALREADY?!

Okay, this made me angry. Really angry. Partially because we fans have been waiting for them to get together for so long, and partially because I should've expected it. I should've known it was too good to be true.

2. Tee and Sadie are friends? Is this an alternate universe?

None of us saw this one coming. Sadie has always been a massive jerk to both Jenna and Tamara, and now they're suddenly BFF's? I still can't wrap my head around it, to be honest.

3. I hate Jenna.

When Jenna told Matty that she didn't want him at her school, my heart broke for Matty. I love Matty. He seems to really care for Jenna; he even took her back after she cheated. Considering this, Jenna's admittance was pretty harsh. I understand that it wasn't the right thing for him to run from his small fish, big pond worries, but Jenna didn't need to be cruel to get that point across.

4. I feel bad for Jenna.

Coming home from college to a family and best friend who don't seem to have missed you is pretty tuff. She doesn't even have her own room anymore. Plus she's struggling with work and boy issues. Does anything ever go right for Jenna?

5. I hate Matty.

The way Matty acted towards Jenna grated on my nerves. He acted like a total jerk. I know he was hurt, but it was uncalled for. Especially his reaction to Jenna's article. It wasn't her fault that it was butchered. And his comments about how hard the breakup was for him didn't help the situation. I think it was a bit unfair. Did he call her to check on her? No? Then it's a bit hypocritical.

6. Luke? Again?

I'm not sure how to feel about this. At least he treats her well, I guess.

7. But, despite all this, I still ship Jenna and Matty.

Part of me is secretly hoping that they'll end up back together. They both already seem to be having second thoughts about their new relationships, and it's obvious they still love one another. I'm tired of the back and forth, but I still think they belong together.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
