17 Safe Things My Roomie And I Have Done To Have Fun At College In A Global Pandemic
#5: Communicate with each other exclusively through John Mulaney impressions.
1. Watch "Wendy Wu: Homecoming Warrior"
Here is the longest fight scene you'll ever watch in your life (but also the best, obviously).
2. Walk a total of three miles up and down The Short North for literally no reason
But we did get to take the funky photo you see at the top.
3. Spend three hours and buckets of blood, sweat, and tears trying to assemble our LED strip lights and actually get them to work
4. Try out Peace Tea, an iced tea available at the best dining location on campus, Marketplace on Neil
It is very good and we are very obsessed.
5. Communicate with each other exclusively through John Mulaney impressions
6. Host two-person dance parties while blasting AJR and setting our LED strip lights to "seven color strobe flash"
Yes, I know you were worried, but we did finally get them working.
7. Go to Target
Don't worry, our masks were on, because masks do actually help stop the spread of viral infection, in case you are one of those people out there who didn't know.
8. Buy iced coffee at the Starbucks inside Target
See the dance party listed at #6.
9. Bring bath towels out to The Oval at 11 p.m. to lay on while we try to watch Jump In with a shoddy internet connection for 30 minutes, at which point our Sloopy's orders were ready and we went back inside
10. Take a girls' trip to pick up a prescription I accidentally sent to a CVS two miles away
11. Lay in bed for hours complaining about classes starting and coping by sending each other memes
This one still makes us laugh a week after we saw it.
12. Watch "Another Cinderella Story" and laugh the most at Jane Lynch's lines, every single one of which is gold
Here is our favorite scene (just the first 27 seconds).
13. Inspire endless amounts of content for our respective Twitter feeds and private stories on Snapchat
Because I told her I would plug it: follow Sarah on Twitter at @DruhanSarah.
14. Get Jeni's Ice Cream delivered through Postmates for a total of $40
But! The delivery was free.
15. Watch "Looks That Kill," a movie about a guy who has to wear bandages around his face all the time because he is just so gosh darn handsome he kills anyone who looks his way
16. Take out our always-full garbage full of iced coffee cups, Sloopy's takeout containers, and cans upon cans of Peace Tea
Don't worry, the Peace Tea went in the recycling.
17. And throughout it all, the ups and downs, the movies and the Peace Teas, we were truly Together as Buckeyes
