There are many things that people may have told you to do on a day-to-day basis in order to reap more success. While I believe that some of these ideas are very nonsensical, there are many of these ideas that I believe to be extremely effective. Below are some of my most recommended daily habits for attracting success.
GET UP EARLY
As Grant Cardone, one of my favorite motivational figures frequently says, "Get up before the sun". This statement is something I take quite literally, as I have begun to mobilize myself between six and seven in the morning; guess what, the sun has just opened it's eyes by the time I have had my morning coffee and planned my day. It doesn't require a doctor to understand that the earlier one is awake the more time they have in the day to complete the tasks they would like to. By noon I have already accomplished more than many will accomplish during the entirety of their day. By adopting this behavior one puts themselves in a position to accomplish many objectives and goals, quite possibly ahead of schedule.
MAP OUT OUT YOUR DAY
Every morning while having my coffee (black and sweet, for those who may be wondering), I write down my goals for the day in a scheduling format. Whether you have a daily planner with printed scheduling blocks or just a pen and a notebook, this is an effective method for organizational purposes. I like to organize my schedule in a way that allows me to get things done based on where these tasks need to be completed. For example, if there are a number of tasks that need to be done at home, I group those tasks together. By writing my goal for the day down in 15-minute blocks, I am able to make sure that specific things get done in a timely matter and that I do not have a soap scum-like build up with other things I may have to accomplish. The lack of task accumulation aids in reducing stress levels in addition to making sure tasks are completed in a timely fashion.
ACT
After you've mapped out your day, now is the time to put the plan into action. You'll find that you are not scrambling around to get things done, possibly forgetting to get certain things done while you were out of the house, and needing to leave once you have already kicked your shoes off. Taking action after you already have organized your day ahead of time simply makes the day flow much easier.
Once you have taken these three basic steps you'll be astounded by how much more time you have in the day to yourself and how much more stress-free your days are. You'll experience easier flowing days and you'll develop habits that will be useful not only in your daily life but also in the workforce, making you a more valuable asset to the company you work for.
