What does the word motivation mean to you? Motivation is "the general desire or willingness of someone to complete a goal or action." Motivation is one of the hardest things for most people when dieting. This is because motivation takes that inner power to push you toward a goal or action. We get our motivation from our desire and ambition; therefore, if we do not have ambition, motivation is inattentive. These are a few tips on how to stay on the right path and complete your journey.

1. Set A Goal

When you set a goal for yourself it makes you want to stay to the goal. Therefore, making little lists of your top three or more goals you want to complete by a time frame will keep you staying on the right track.

2. Face Your Reflection

Every morning I like to look at myself in the mirror and realize what my appearance looks like. If you don't like something about your body, there is always changes you can do with little steps to help you achieve what you want. By looking at yourself before work, school, etc, it motivates you to work harder at what you want.

3. Do It With A Partner

Working out with a best-friend, friend, family member, spouse, etc can be very beneficial to yourself as well as that other person. This is because when two people come together to work out, they push you just as much as you push them. Also, it is always nice having someone feeling the same burn from a workout session.

4. Lay Out Your Skinny-Sexy Outfit

Yes, I said it. Lay out your skinny-sexy outfit and by looking at it everyday it motivates you to why you started eating healthy and being fit.

5. Keep A Food Journal

This is also another great tip to use while dieting because it really makes you think about how much you ate that day and your calories intake for that day or week. By keeping a food journal this helps you focus on healthy foods to eat.

6. Plan Meals In Advanced

It is great idea to plan your meals in advanced because this will encourage you to eat healthier since you are seeing what your calorie intake would be for each day and/or week. Also, you can incorporate more healthy recipes by meal prepping.

7. Join A Work-Out Class

I learned by joining a class for a month or two can really help you stay fit because you are committing yourself to this class every week that you payed for in advanced. By knowing that once a week you have a class to go to is all most like another responsibility and will also help you get a good work out in.

8. Recommit Yourself Every New Week

" If you want it, work for it. It's that simple."

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
