Listening to Donald Trump talk about a plan to build a wall and to ban refugees to enter this country, disappoints me. I was born in another country as a child and was adopted then traveled over seas to America.
Although I am not a refugee, I still have a strong feeling and connection for them. And although South Korea is where I am originally from, it is not a country that is banned.
The countries that are banned are still almost a part of me in a sense. I was adopted because my birth parents could not take care of me, and they wanted the best for me. This is similar to what these refugees want. They want a chance at freedom away from war and destruction and to raise their children right without having their kids grow up in constant violence. I am upset with how he is treating these innocent refugees by not allowing them to come to America for a fresh start. A majority of these refugees are NOT terrorists or dangerous criminals. Some of them want to get freedom and have a new life.
My advice is to keep fighting for what is right. I am a person that cares for people no matter their religion, skin color, ethnicity, or beliefs. I generally want the best for them and I will do whatever it takes to advocate for the refugees because I stand with refugees.
