Every city has its reasons to be proud. Sure, New York has the Statue of Liberty, and San Francisco has the Golden Gate Bridge, but you can't cheer on an architectural monument. But here in St. Louis, we have the Cardinals. Yes, we have the Blues and the Rams too, but nothing compares to the experience you have when you go to a St. Louis Cardinals baseball game.
Not only is the new Busch Stadium simply amazing on its own, we also now have Ball Park Village right next door, which is essentially the best place to be before and after any Cardinals game. It is unbelievably lively and filled with the most adoring fans you could find. The food is to die for; you might have a little wait before you are seated, but who wouldn't want to chat with fellow Cardinals supporters?
Once you've had a bite to eat and are ready for some serious baseball and great fans, everyone heads on over to the stadium. Here you can find pretty much any Cardinals or STL paraphernalia that you could ever think of between the specialty shops and the Team Store. As you walk around I am sure that you could notice every food stand around, including Dippin Dots...because who doesn't like Dippin Dots? As the game is about to commence, everyone grabs their last bite of food and heads on down to their seats so to ensure that they don't miss the opening pitch. Through out the game there is cheers and yells from all over cheering on our hometown heroes as they play their hearts on out the field.
By the end of the hopefully winning game, everyone has had their fair share of ballpark food, beer, and peanuts and is ready to head back on over to Ball Park Village for a night of celebrating and great entertainment. By the end of the night everyone is exhausted and can't stop talking about how great the Cardinals were.
As you can see, baseball in St. Louis is unlike any other. If you come here, even for a night, I would highly suggest trying to go see a Cardinals game because you won't regret it; the experience is amazing and the people are even better.
