Sorry LeBron... | The Odyssey Online

As we head into the fifth game of the NBA Finals Championship, LeBron James is on...

This was the header I began when LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers were down 3-1 to the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals Championship. Holding off to write this story I patiently waited, game five ended, and the Cavs were now down 3-2. Both LeBron and Kyrie Irving had 41 points to go along with the victory, being the first teammates to ever score 40+ points in the same finals game. Game six comes along and LeBron decides to put 41 points up again leading to a win bring the series to a stunning halt. Finally, game seven arrives, LeBron is poised to bring home a championship to Cleveland, something the city hasn't won since 1954, not only in basketball, but all professional sports. The Browns were the last team in Cleveland to win a championship. My article this week turned from an article about how LeBron is about to lose his fifth NBA Championship to the same Golden State Warriors that beat him last year in his return to his home city of Cleveland, Ohio, to a apology letter about how I could not believe that I doubted the magic of sports, that anything is possible and when going against one of the best to ever play the game, you can never doubt anything. I believe that after this Finals series, LeBron has definitely set himself on my Mt. Rushmore of NBA players, but should be considered one of the best that has ever played doing things that no one has ever done including leading both teams in every major statistic throughout the NBA Finals.

Although I rooted for LeBron and the Cleveland Cavs throughout the 2016 NBA Finals, I would like to take the heading I had first written when the Cavs were down 3-1, "Sorry LeBron." I am sorry for slightly doubting the unthinkable, being the first team in NBA Finals History to comeback from a 3-1 deficit. LeBron James 100 percent deserved to be Finals MVP and showed everybody throughout seven games why not only this is still his league, but is one of the greatest to ever play the game. Nothing against the Golden State Warriors having a franchise winning season, they played a great Finals and a great playoffs as well doing the same thing that the Cavs did in the Finals coming back down 3-1 to the Oklahoma City Thunder. In the end, though, it don't mean a thing without the ring. LeBron has done the unthinkable bringing hope to Believeland. Do not sleep on LeBron James, he is just getting started.

Thank You LeBron,

Evan Werner

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
