The Cats are only a few more weeks away from taking the field again at Bill Snyder Family Stadium. There are so many memories and traditions formed in Manhattan Kansas and they can all be seen in this fun and family environment. Purple everywhere and Willie the Wildcat running around getting the sold-out stadium excited. I hope you are as ready as I am!

1. Purple Pride Everywhere.

We all know the greatest color in the world is purple... especially a sea of it flooding a whole town!

2. Willie's push-ups

Hope you've kept in shape Willie... the Cats are ready to make you work.

3. Wabashing until you have a 6-pack

Basically qualifies as a work out for the day right? Lots of abdominal muscles put to good use.

4. Bill Snyder's windbreaker

Don't forget to follow @KSUWindbreaker to keep up with the inside scoop and best advice from a wildcat trustworthy source.

5. Unbelievable touchdowns by Isiah Zuber

I get chills thinking about the talent on the Wildcat's field.

6. Little kids in K-State cheer and football uniforms (nothing cuter)

We all have dreams of these being our future kiddos... they're too precious to ignore and not fall in love with!

7. Family visits

It's a treasure to get to see family when they come down and celebrate something you all love together!

8. All day tailgates

These can get the best of some people... but I've heard some of the best memories and friendships built from these early mornings and hot afternoons.

9. House-We-Built video playing on the jumbo-screen

These song can't do anything but make you happy and the video makes it that much more personable.

10. The Pride Marching Band pregame ceremony

I may be slightly biased getting to be a part of this tradition, but goosebumps and a giant smile takes over my body when waiting for the music to start.

11. Annual win against KU

No offense, but we don't have to "wait" for a season... we love and support ALL our school's sports.

12. Fort Riley game day

Honoring veterans and paying tribute to the brave builds for an amazing annual game day tradition in Manhattan, Kansas.

13. The family environment

There is a reason our stadium reads "Bill Snyder Family Stadium". A friendly and fun environment that I have been able to be a part of since before I could walk is another reason football season is such a great time for my family and I.

14. Making friends with strangers - EMAW!

Are there such things as strangers? You high-five anyone around you and you celebrate with anyone and everyone.

15. It's K-State football. Reason enough.

I mean c'mon... it's football! In Manhattan! Simple as that.

16. Bill Snyder's 16 Lessons.

16 lessons that will carry you to success your whole life.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
