Why It Is Smart To Surround Yourself With Positiviity

Positive people, positive vibes.

On a daily basis life hits us straight in the face with challenges. Some we conquer easily, others can strike us down and have us feel sad. For that reason alone, I feel being around positive vibes can be helpful and necessary.

Still need convincing?

Then read on to see why I believe we should strive to surround ourselves with positive people.

Positivity breads creativity

If you were to pay attention in a group setting, you would come to realize how easy people can work together with little to no negativity. Creative juices flow and people tend to have more respect for one another.

You may also see that someone who normally has nothing to say, is actually the one coming up with all the ideas simply because they feel comfortable to express themselves.

It takes more muscle movements to frown, rather than smile!

So what else would I need to say in regards to this known fact? Work out your face by smiling and don't tax it or waste time frowning. Your smile is meant to be across your face and then leave the heavy lifting to other parts of your body on gym days!

Positive energy is contagious

All it takes is one person smiling at another. One person saying "hello" to another. One person asking "do you need any help with that" to another. These are a few examples on how the spread of positive vibes can start. If someone smiles at me, I will more than likely smile at the next person I see, causing them to do the same and so on. If I am walking across campus, around the office, or around the town and take time out of my day to ask someone how they are or if they need help, that also acts as a catalyst to the spread of positive vibes; it's easy.

Why the hell not?

Life is short. Live in the moment and have each moment be better than the last. Don't let the negativity of others keep you from having fun or simply enjoying yourself!

Now with all that being said I will be the first to admit that I have seen "Inside Out" and I know the basis of it all is that we are meant to create memories with all our emotions. I am not against that, and hell, I believe it that as well. All I am saying with this article is that sadness, anger, jealousy and strife happen, we cannot avoid them, but what we can do is allow ourselves to be happy for all the other times. Don't choose to stay in a negative state, express that feeling and them strive for joy!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
