If you're a girl who grew up with Disney, chances are you attached to one (or more) princess and convinced yourself that you were one and the same. For me, that was Rapunzel, even though Tangled came out my sophomore year of high school. Throughout my time as a Disney fanatic, I've found some signs that may point to living the life of a Disney princess.
1. Animal Friends
Do you find yourself constantly talking to animals? Do you believe that they understand you and your ramblings about the cute boy in English class? Have you ever sang a few notes in the hope of hearing a bird trill back? If so, you may be a Disney princess. Having animal friends is the first sign of royalty, especially sassy ones. You believe that every critter you meet understands what you're saying, and that if you're ever in trouble they'll rush in and aid you. Or maybe you just like to think that, but simply enjoy talking to the furry friends because, let's face it, how cute is Gus-Gus?
2. Heels
This one's plain and simple. Every time you put on a pair of heels, you imagine them being the glass slipper from Cinderella, and that your prince is just waiting at the club to dance with you again. Disney princess warning if this is you.
3. Love at First Sight
You believe that love at first sight truly exists, and you don't let anyone convince you otherwise. When you make eye contact with someone from across the coffee shop, "I See The Light" from Tangled starts playing in your head as you imagine what your wedding will look like. When you see a handsome face as you pass on the street, your brain instantly imagines how your first kiss will go down. Because if it wasn't love at first sight, is it really love?
4. Hair = On Point
Somehow, your hair is always looking good. You got the Disney magic when it comes to hair. Whenever the wind picks up, it flows gracefully around such as Pocahontas's. When you wake up in the morning, it looks the same as the day before. After running to class to avoid being late (again, because you had to stop and free a bird stuck in a plastic bag), not a single strand is out of place. Kudos to you, Disney princess.
5. Prince Charming
He's out there and you're going to find him. Your Prince Charming is real and you know that he's looking for you with all of his might. He'll be tall, dark and handsome with a white horse and a rich family back home. Or, maybe not, depends on what you think your Prince Charming looks like. He'll be a total gentleman; open doors for you, carry you across puddles, slay a dragon for you, and even take you out on a romantic date to the middle of a lake where you'll watch thousands of lanterns take to the sky. Don't make him do all the work of finding you though, go out there and help his search!
6. Singing
Constantly singing something, whether it's quietly or at the top of your lungs, is the telltale sign on a Disney princess in the flesh. You hum on your way to class, sing while you cook dinner, carry a tune while you do homework, and absolutely sing to your pet about how much you love them. Nothing can stop your virtuoso side from coming out,
7. Quoting Movies![]()
Doesn't matter if it's lyrics, lines, or even the noises that the animal sidekicks make: you can quote the whole movie. You've memorized every line, yell and note the entire hour and a half flick gives you, and you aren't ashamed. Keep on quoting you Disney princess, you.
8. Disney World
Disney: The Happiest Place on Earth. Nothing could be more true to you. Disney is you idea of paradise; if you were to die tomorrow you would want Heaven to be in the form of a Disney park, complete with characters, rides and delicious treats. You would get to be whichever princess or character you wanted, as well as ride any of the rides and never get sick. You dream of visiting Disney any time your mind isn't preoccupied with other things such as that cutie who just walked by and what you think his parents are like.
As a kid, being a Disney princess was something a lot of girls dreamed of. I don't think that's an impossible dream to achieve, as I know many people who do almost this entire list of things. So keep on dreaming princesses!
A dream is a wish your heart makes...
