7 games I am most excited for.

It's that time of year again. The time of the biggest gaming expo of the year. The Electronic Entertainment Expo, otherwise known as E3 will be upon us soon. From June 12th to June 16th, we will be hearing about some really cool titles from some of our favorite developers. We have a lot of cool stuff being talked about this year and I could not settle for only five. So, here are seven games I am really excited for that are being announced at E3.

1. Dishonored 2

I've honestly been excited for Dishonored 2 since Dishonored came out. This title was revealed last year and most of us went insane about it. The sequel to Bethesda and Arkane Studios' stealth-action adventure allows you to play either as Empress Emily Kaldwin, the child you rescue in the first game or her protector and protagonist of the previous game, Corvo Attano. The fact the you actually get to play as Emily really sets the tone for a true continuation of the original story. Bethesda revealed the release date to be November 11, 2016.

2. Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.

Personally, I just got into the Deus Ex series and I find it to be awesome and intriguing and challenging in a very unique way that some other games just are not. Developer, Square Enix has this game on their list to be demonstrated at E3 and if it is anything like Human Revolution, I have pretty high hopes for this game. It is a choice and consequence action-RPG game with stunning atmosphere, and interesting world, and an awesome main character. Release date is set to be August 23, 2016.

3. Mass Effect: Andromeda

As a huge fan of Bioware and the Mass Effect series, I can barely wait for this title. The first next-gen title of this critically acclaimed sci-fi RPG series, this Bioware has announced that this game will be the first Mass Effect game to be released using that Frostbite engine, the engine that brought us Dragon Age: Inquisition. This title boasts that we are leaving the Milky Way galaxy and going to Andromeda where we will have all kinds of new planets to explore and an all new story. Release date is set for 2017.

4. Legend of Zelda: Wii U

Finally, after a whole year of waiting we get to see this new Zelda game in action. Updated with a unique art-style totally unlike the previous games, this title is hyped to be an all new take on the Zelda franchise. Nintendo has said that they will be demoing this game in their presentation at E3. One thing is for sure, however, Hyrule has never looked better. This game is set to come out at some point next year.

5. Persona 5

While preparing for the vehement "waifu wars" that will inevitably come with this new Persona game, I still cannot help but be incredibly excited. This game follows the story of a high school aged boy who moves to Tokyo and accidentally becomes a Persona-user through his life of being a high schooler in the big city. This turn-based JRPG has some major hype behind it. Developer, Atlus, has boasted that it could be a new twist on the JRPG genre. Release date is set to be sometime this year.

6. Final Fantasy XV

So, this makes two Square Enix games on this list, which is pretty surprising. However, Square has been coming out with some serious quality games and Final Fantasy XV appears to be no exception. The beta was just released for PS4 and honestly, I have not played it. However, I am still pretty excited after finally playing Final Fantasy XIV and knowing that this game seems to be in the same universe and XIV. Release date has been officially announced as September 30, 2016.

7. Horizon: Zero Dawn

Alright, alright, I know this game has not been confirmed yet to be showcased at E3, but honestly, how could you not? This title boasts a massive open world that you can completely explore. See that mountain way off in the distance? Go climb it. What about that huge forested area just beyond that? Let's go see it. The world of Horizon: Zero Dawn is incredibly unique in the sense that you are playing in an environment that is like that of the Stone Age, but all the animals and weapons are machines. I think that this is a new take on an open world and it is fascinating. Horizon: Zero Dawn will be released sometime in 2016.
