These are the most memorable and most popular video games of their time, and my personal favorites. You may or may not agree with all of them, but I don't really care. Some of the games on this list are from 2010. I know that's stretching the rules a bit. Here you go.
Assassin's Creed II
"Assassin's Creed II" had one of the most charismatic protagonists the gaming industry has ever come by. Ezio Auditore Di Firenze, known simply as Ezio, is a young, strapping lad living the dream during Renaissance Italy, who stumbles upon a family secret that not only would alter his life for good, but for the betterment of society. The everlasting battle between Assassins and Templars is one of the most popular feuds in gaming to this day. "Assassin's Creed II" lives up to the name of the stealth genre, laying out a rich environment full of history and fantasy that will breathe a fresh air of gameplay for anyone delving into different experience of gameplay.
Fallout 3
“War, War never changes.” Ironically, "Fallout 3" ventures into the world of the Capital Wasteland, where everything wants to kill you, and you're stuck in Washington D.C. where everything is mutated and natural selection seems to take the reins of the world more than ever. The year is 2277, and your lucky ass has been surviving a nuclear winter for about 30 years now in a vault underground. Your father escapes, and now you have to venture out into the 1950s post-apocalyptic wasteland to find him. You'd better be ready for this clusterf**k of a game, if that even makes any sense.
Dead Space 2
I had to take a 15-minute break every 10 minutes I would play this game. If you want to sh*t your pants, then play this game! The best story mixed with a great zombie survival…in space, and you got yourself "Dead Space 2." You play as a man named Isaac Clarke who really has the worst job in the world. You're an engineer who has to fix the USG Ishimura and upon landing the rogue spaceship, you encounter the necromorphs, a zombie alien species that uses human hosts to survive. You come across some confusing and disturbing facts about the crew and your wife, who went dark after they recently recovered an artifact from a mysterious planet. And somehow, Isaac is the creator of these artifacts? This game is very confusing, but it is well worth the ride.
Gears of War 2
This was scary, but it was the story and the gameplay that made this thriller game a masterpiece of its time. The physics behind the gameplay revolutionized the third person perspective, shining some light on the genre. The notorious Marcus and Dom duo fighting hordes of underground brutes is a joyful ride especially with a friend.
Mass Effect 2
The space opera of Shepherd and his flock, or I should say his bad*ss team of assassins, mercenaries, murderers, you name it, taking it on against a horde of infectious aliens sounds pretty dope, right? Well yeah, I am right. I’m always right. Although it has kind of a Star Wars lore feel, it is the exuberantly designed atmosphere that creates its own lore and History, unique to any other science fiction work.
Bioshock
Would you kindly sit the f**k down and play this game. That’s an order, not a question. And if you have already played the game, then you would have gotten my reference. But if not, then I should let you know that if you like a good mind f**k, this is the game for you. "Bioshock Infinite" is personally my favorite out of the series, but the first installment to this thriller franchise has the protagonist, Jack, explore the underground city of rapture in the 1950s.
Halo 2
You know.
Super Smash Bros. Melee
If you choose Kirby, I swear to God I will do something that I can’t say on this. Just don’t, please. I srsly cnt evn.
