Last week I talked about 12 Reasons Why Having A Guy Best Friend As A Girl Is Awesome, this week I decided to talk about 12 reasons why guys should have a girl best friend, as told by a girl.

1. We give better relationship advice.

Who else can help guys get around girl logic. it is already tricky enough trying to understand it as a girl, but I am sure we can help you get around it better than your other dude friends.

2. You can tell us anything.

It is hard for guys to talk about their "emotions" to other guys, so why not talk to someone who is intact with their emotions on the reg.

3. We give great fashion and/or grooming advice.

If you are not sure if something matches, you can always come to us with no judgement. We will also be the first to tell you to shave that animal off of your face or that you need a haircut.

4. She is your best reality check.

We will be the very first one to tell you if you are acting too studly. I can promise that.

5. We like you for you.

I mean, honestly we would not hang out with you if we did not like you.

6. We will write texts for you.

We will help you figure out what to say to that girl you have been crushing on, but only if you do the same for us.

7. We make good shopping partners.

What guy asks another guy to go shopping with them?

8. Potential girlfriend?

We will tell you if she is worth your time or not.

9. She will be your sister, and even your mother when you need one.

It will feel like you are never away from home. We will be like your mother and scold you, but turn around and be like your sister and pick silly fights with you.

10. All of the best friend duos are girl/guy

Phoebe and Joey. Kurt and Rachel. Haley and Lucas. Eric and Jenny. Schmidt and Jess. Raven and Eddie. The list goes on and on.

11. You have someone who can take you seriously.

Whether you want to rant about something in your life, or you want to bounce your dumb-silly ideas off of someone, we will listen to everything you have to say and give you our take on what ever it may be that is going on.

12. We are down to be your wing woman.

We know that you have been crushing on that girl in your class, we will see what we can do with that.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
